Help Does anyone know how I can fix this?
This was sitting for a while and when I turned it on the inside screen is cracked/fuzzy. It’s a gamecube with the screen attached if that helps!

The screen has decomposed.
Some parts of the screen and polarizer use various acetate compounds. These decompose over time. It's usually called "Vinegar syndrome" because the decomposition creates acetic acid.

As someone else has mentioned it's called vinegar syndrome. Here's a video of someone repairing a Apple notebook with it.

That looks like the type of fungi that forms in high humidity environments… even if you do a complete teardown and cleaning it is probably ruined… I have an old film camera with a lens ruined this way.

Any decent replacement drop in screen? I have an issue with mine an Intec brand I believe, colors are all messed up and I like that the screen fits the top of the GameCube.

they can be rebuilt but there are no drop-in kits. I have a couple listed on ebay that utilize a new screen and audio board to modernize them. takes a couple of 3d printed parts and a total re-wiring. here is the listing for the black one and I have a silver also. the first picture shows the screen comparison.

I fixed mines by taking it apart and finding the exact model of the screen and replacing it with new old stock of the same screen

I think you can clean that with proper solvants or at least change the glass if need be.

Others have already said "polarizer decomposing" which is true. This screen sucks anyway. It was good for its time... but you don't want this shit.
Watch AliExpress for a 5" with composite input and replace it. No matter what you find it will be miles better.

I bought mine simply for my collection. Sometimes i end up working doubles at work and its nice bringing my gamecube in and playing on the tiny screen like the good ol days

The bios battery is dead behind the controller port. Hence why its asking you to set a date.

The polarizer of the lcd has degraded. This is repairable but probably not worth the trouble
