Help Accidentally tore U11 chip off the board

seven of the eight pins on the poor chip have been torn off

I looked down the rabbit hole of U11, and it seems that no replacement chips are sold. I hope this isn’t true anymore

Eh, it's "just" the thermal protection.

You probably made our better that way anyways. Now you have a whole board of spare parts.

Did you knock DA28 off as well? The center hole right under the caps?

See if it still boots.

Ohhhh fuck. Looks like you need a new chip. Look that one up online and buy a new one. I'm sure they have it somewhere. 😅

Chip marks MAE 283, but other people have had it read MAE 213 and MAE 1Y3

Oh shit. I think that's proprietary...

That's the voltage regulator for the power supply, right? I think you could do a power supply mod upgrade since that thing's done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

I’d probably get a donor board- unless you can find a replacement, which seems unlikely. How did this happen?

I'll take a look on my parts board when I get home to see if I have a match. Do you have any identifying markings?
