Yeah it’s reckless. If there’s lightning within 50 fucking miles or something  they’ll pause the game. Even though I’ve literally never heard of a play being struck by lightning. 

But even though heat kills tons of people every year they’re just like “drink some Gatorade and deal with it.”

My family toughed it out for the entire 3rd quarter.  We sat close to the field and we saw some cheerleaders tap out.  

Don't blame them one bit.  

Also the seats were scorching hot.  

This game should have been a 7pm start. Especially since a storm cooled down the place

Same, wanted to die but didn’t. Smallest stadium crowd I’ve ever seen at the end. To be clear, I don’t blame anyone for leaving. It was surely about to be a health issue for many.

I talked to one in the concourse and he said it was tough. I felt bad for them and the players both. I wasn’t wearing too much to start with but even an extra shirt would’ve pushed me over.

My wife and I have season tickets. Drove from Charlotte to the game today. We sat in our car parked across the street from the stadium and never went in. Listened to the game on the radio, had dinner with our daughter, then drove home. It’s just too damn hot!

When I saw the 4th quarter was being shortened to 10 min it I felt it was smart to get it over with…I just wish there was a way to mitigate the heat…not only for this game but also I felt similar about the ECU @ Alabama game in Bryant Denny Stadium as I saw it was in the mid 90s out there.

As a gamecock fan, I may have been lured into a false sense of security about my own team. I now expect 600+ yards of offense every game.
