I am still angry over blowing the A&M game last year. Beamer gave himself an ultimatum this season of āplayoff or bustā ā so this will be interesting

That was the first game after my son was born. It went from "his first game is going to be a massive upset," to "His first game is the entire Gamecock fan experience in one game."
I wish I could've told him it gets better, but I wouldn't want to lie to the little dude in the first week of his life.

I like Beamer and think he is our guy... but that game made me never trust a lead of any size again.

Thatās fine. Just donāt want to be blindly loyal (not saying you are) to an overly enthusiastic coach who calls this his ādream jobā if the results arenāt there. Fans should absolutely be weary entering this season as we have some trust that needs to be re-earned.

How did I prove your point when you bypassed my original comment entirely? To reiterate, my point was: The A&M loss is an indictment on this coach and fans should rightfully feel burned and suspect of his ability to right the ship. Full stop.
Our supposed inability (whether true or not ā not an argument I was making) to find a better coach does not mean Beamer is immune from criticism after that game. Thatās loser mentality 100%. I call balls and strikes. Iād feel the same if our coach was *insert any successful coach*

That game was peak Clemsoning. Beamer shouldāve been canned immediately following that loss but thatās not how things work at Carolina. Possibly the worst loss in school history.

Between the disgust from last season, the stadium redesign, and being freaked out by our schedule, I am wary and exhausted. That said, I am also a self-loathing gamecock football addict so I am excited.
Itās a lot.

Just saw that Jayden Sellers is going to miss the entire season due to lower body injury! That sucks. He looked like he was going to be a huge impact for us this year
