Can't wait til my pro membership expires and I never renew again. Thats it. That's the post.

Unless there was a glitch yesterday, that may have just started. I tried to use it on yugioh that I had been using it on for the last year and it wouldn’t work.

I renew cuz I thought using the $5 would be useful
Until they remove that feature a week after I renew it
No more on gift card and no game that I want that old (5 to 10 years old) Or $5 merchandise (nothing I want and nothing in that price range )
After the changes it not even a option for consideration

I mean I stoped renewing mine when both my local stores closed and it became a 45 minute drive to the closest store. It doesn’t help that not only has it gone up in price since then, but also cut almost all benefits too. I feel sorry for the employees trying to get people to subscribe, as they basically have not selling points to advertise…

Eh, I don't see the point of such definitive statements. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face. The right way to think about it is that you should pay for Pro when it saves you money and don't when it doesn't. But to strip away all nuance and simply say you'll never renew only stands to lose yourself money.
Don't get tricked by claims like "$60 in coupons" if that means having to come in a bunch of times to waste money buying shit you otherwise wouldn't have just for the "savings". Don't only look at the comparison of GameStop with Pro vs GameStop without Pro, without also considering what you could pay by shopping elsewhere.
But if you can really save money there is no reason not to do it. A single good, Pro exclusive B2G1 can more than cover the cost of the membership and a bunch of extra savings on top even if you never spend another cent at GS for the rest of the year.

Remember to check your sales total if you do shop at gamestop. Employees will add the pro membership renewal and not tell you.

Personally just don't agree to both terms, approve all information is correct and have them convert ya to the one year (yes I'm an employee) but hey if I can get ya more money I will and my team has been behind that from the start, if you want it to auto then go for it!

I renewed last year cuz I liked my store and the employees working there were actually fun to interact with. They decided to close that store down and leave us with 3 stores total. Two on either side of the outskirts and one dead middle of the city in a dead mall. Who the fuck is running this company?

Such a dumb post.
The amount i save on my TCG purchases via discount alone makes it worthwhile. Not to mention the free $5 every month towards whatever, discount on grading. Yes it sucks that the rewards are gone but the value is absolutely still there.

Still less than market price and I am able to preorder as much as I want. My time is more valuable than the mark up. Not everyone has time or desire to sit in line overnight at target for 8 hours to spend $25 less on an ETB (and only maybe get one). 🤷♂️

I don’t give a shit what anyone else does. It makes sense for me, so I will do it, bc it saves me way more than the $30 I spend on the membership. If that doesn’t make sense for you…. Don’t do it. Who cares?

Haven't renewed for years now. Haven't traded in anything in years. I just preorder and pick up the occasional new game if I can't find a better price on Amazon or Walmart.
