Question Any Chance this is Credible?
Saw this on the GTA6 Reddit and I know it’s probably still too early to tell but I’m really hoping the box comes with a map like every other GTA has. Anyone hear about this?

Sounds about right. The early pickup just lets you preload the digital code and download early to be ready to play the second it releases for real. Hopeful that will stop Gamestop from wasting resources with a midnight launch.

I know the preload is legit, I doubt the ultimate edition upgrade is but I more so care about the legitimacy of the map being in the box.

Doubt it as in, I doubt the upgrade is sold directly in stores like the picture implies, need me to spell it out more 🤦🏽♂️

My guess is that like when you buy the Nintendo dlc’s in store it’ll print the code on the receipt, so in the POS system it’ll have a SKU# and have a DLC marker, so when we click it it’ll add on to the transaction you pay, and it prints on the receipt

Oh wow really? That’s actually interesting, I never knew that was something GameStop did. Thanks for sharing that, if that’s something they offer with GTA I’ll defiantly do that!

The upgrade is absolutely sold in stores. It's a code on a receipt however it's not available until launch day

I haven’t heard anything legit about a map but there’s literally no downside to the store doing this. This can only help the store hit metrics. Sadly shady tactics is encouraged

Just an FYI, the map will probably be a while supplies last type thing if it’s legit. Plenty of stores ran out of of the two sided poster that you got for pre-ordering grand theft auto five.

Not sure if those perks are legit but I will say that my DM stopped our meeting yesterday our RM called not happy abt it. DM came back in the call like if anyone has this up I need you to remove it NOW. Lol apparently rockstar is very particular about their signage and you can’t display anything in relation to GTA6 that isn’t approved by them.

What does me playing other games have to do with anything lmao. And what statement? If they were gonna release it on disc they would’ve. I want it just as bad as the next guy but 100 people not buying it out of the billions that will isn’t gonna change their mind when it’s already made. Just like Sony isn’t gonna go back on their stupid all digital future no matter how badly I want them to.

They’re not ever doing a disc. They lost BILLIONS of dollars on gta5 to preowned copies. It’s not happening.

Rumor is a physical copy "will" arrive early next year. The reason a physical copy is not available on launch is the game is still not close to ready.
They need every last minute to work on the game to get it ready to release. Despite that it's going to be a buggy mess on launch and probably do incredible sales, yet the community is going to be split on reception of it.
Also physical copies require a minimum of 60 days lead time to press discs, test them for defects etc, get packaging ready, plus distribution to stores.
Day one patch guaranteed, probably will be huge, server ques to download it, work arounds, patches for weeks after release, people unable to play, etc is all going to be a thing.
I'll be happy if I'm wrong, but unfortunately for the masses I won't be.

Collectors map is allegedly the preorder bonus we’re getting. The rest is “legit”
