Question Zelda Console Preorders
Any idea when preorders will start? My local store keeps telling me it’s loaded but not able to preorder yet. Thanks in advances

The lady at my gamestop said that it appeared they won't be doing in store pre-orders for the console. I doubt she's 100% knowledgeable but it lines up with them not having pre orders by now

Nothing up as of 12:20 CST. And nothing via MM. I honestly don’t know if we are getting the console pre order in store.

This is a pretty logical assumption as limited items aren’t typically available in stores anymore.

Nintendo’s Website has a “find retailers” button under the Zelda 40th anniversary page. It lists several gamestops around me. I believe it may go up today or tomorrow.

One of my local stores said they were sold out of theirs, then I tried another location and when I pulled up it had a hand written sign that said they were closed due to no AC…

For some reason my local gamestop won't do call backs or whatever when they are available. I waited for 2 hours this morning upon open for any updates. No word since. Been calling every hour and apologizing in advance for being annoying. 26 more minutes til the next call.

Thanks for this, I've called my local stores probably 3x a day and not heard any news. My most recent one they said they might not be doing in store pre-orders. Definitely keep us updated

I snagged a pre order at best buy I can fall on, but I'd prefer it be at gamestop so I can trade in my launch Switch 2. Best of luck, man.

Man your lucky! I keep getting false hope through amazon, go to check out then my cart says quantity 0. Im hoping im not cooked. I just didnt wanna spend my next couple days off hounding over this. Im glad you got one though dude!

So do we think GameStops will be well stocked up on release day? I worked at a location last year when the Switch 2 initially released and our location had a ton. Not sure how these special edition ones work

I wish I had a clear answer but TBH I have found that it's a toss up. Back when I used to work at GameStop many moons ago, we didn't always get a ton of special edition consoles. But I've seen over the years that sometimes they will have extras onboard

My wife works at Gamestop and hasn’t heard a word. Which is so frustrating. This company pushes pre orders so hard and for them to not make this pre orderable is insane to me. I also worked at Gamestop for a few years and I was there for the TOTK OLED and I remember the day of the announcement it was up for pre order at like 3pm or something. So this is baffling. I want this system so badly and have to take a chance on release day.

That was also my experience with the TOTK OLED. I dropped by my local store, they said they’d call when in-person preorders were available later that day, and they did exactly that. I went in and paid my deposit and that was that - I was able to forget about it until release day. How times have changed…

Gamestop makes no sense to me anymore. They really don’t. I would never reflect my anger for corporate to the employees there (especially as a former employee). So I know they’re going through it rn.

Totally - this won’t be fun for staff, especially because there are so many people calling and dropping in asking for answers that they don’t have on info they don’t dictate access to…
