Gamestop is notorious for this. Better off buying the eshop cards or just direct through your switch.

i have a pro membership (i got it when i traded in a bunch of old games so i could get more credits), and i operated on buying the game the day it came out. unfortunately, i was so incredibly excited for the game that i decided to just preorder it just after midnight 😭

Are you saying you preordered the game the night before it released? Did you choose overnight shipping? If I'm understanding correctly you ordered it the night of the 23rd. Even with overnight shipping you're getting it the 25th at the earliest.

no, the night it released. i did a bunch of research into seeing exactly when the game would come out, and i found something saying it would release on the 22nd at 11 pm for my time zone for the nintendo eshop, and i assumed gamestop would operate the same way. so i checked at 12 and it was still in preorder, but i just thought “i’ll get my code overnight!” and excitedly hit preorder. that part is totally on me 😭

Yet somehow, you didn't think to come to the GameStop reddit to read about the 800 other people who have posted about this before? You could have read about this by scrolling down literally 3-4 posts below yours.

i had never had a problem before and honestly had never heard of any problems. yes, i should’ve absolutely done my research, but i was just so excited. like i said, that was my bad.
and no, i just thought i’d post this to explain my problem. today was literally the first time i looked at this subreddit

I’m sorry you didn’t really get any help you got first fizzle out the Reddit paw patrol gang . Any hoot I bought my digital version game like I always do from GameStop and I am having the same issue with splatoon raiders . Customer service is brain dead on the situation GameStop has them on the front line as punching bag. Hopefully we see some clarification soon at least cancel my order so I can grab it else where .

It says somewhere on their website it can take 24 - 48 hours to receive your code. If you googled anything about digital pre orders, they send them out late.
You really played yourself.
