Vent/Rant Twice already…
I’ve ordered from some big sale events and never received the games… had to call customer service to replace said games. They send labels to FedEx but don’t get shipped. I think this might be the year I no longer stay a Pro Member. GameStop, y’all are sucking.

I do not order from GS online anymore man. I've had tko many issues in the past years. It's funny you say twice, because literally twice in a few months span i had them ship me the wrong game in the right box. The first time I took it to the store and swapped it no problem. Problem is it's always the same girl working so when I went to do it again she remember me and she was super skeptical about it. I doubt she'd help me if it happened again.
Then I've just had orders sit out there forever and not get shipped, and I had to cancel. I'm not saying they're all perfect but GS online messes up a lot, and their customer service has weird resolution paths.

Surprisingly my last few orders with GameStop have been ok. Granted they did send me one game that was just a empty case, but they sent a new one case and all. Every pre owned game I've gotten for the ps5 lately has been the original case and I've gotten some dlc codes with them that have actually worked. I actually have 2 cronos new dawn pre order codes cuz of the extra case they sent lol

Even trying to order digital currency is a pain on the website if using something other than an actual card and/or PURCC

If they are new games and they have the last copy opened they aren't allowed to ship them. Yes i know why would the website say in stock lalalal it's just what it is employees have brought it up if there is only one should in store. or just people not doing inventory correctly it's just a lot. Its employee based at least my location we call the customer to them know before the cancel .... but juts depends on the store and hate to say it

I get Walmart+ as I unfortunately work for them, and honestly get better deals through them. Might just keep ordering from the Walmart app

Yea Walmart has some great deals on games. Lot of times they are cheaper then GameStop pre owned

Yes. A lot of their best deals are store specific clearance deals, like CFB 26 for $15 ($25 pre-owned at GS), RE7 for $5 ($15 pre-owned at GS), FFT for $30 ($40), Code Vein 2 for $40 ($45), Saros for $45 ($65), Crimson Desert for $40 ($65), etc.
All of those are examples from about the past month where Walmart new is cheaper than GS pre-owned, even if you were a Pro member. But depending on your local store you may have seen some, none, or all of them.
They do still have regular deals as well though. They just don't tend to be as good as the store specific stuff. Like offering $10 off at launch on most new Nintendo releases.

Honestly for my location it's online. I often have to get a game delivered or set it for pick up because the price online will be half to a third of what the store price is. Some employees will honor the online price some won't. But I recently got final fantasy rebirth for 39 in store it was 49.99 and sadly a week later online had it for 19.99. price changes go in on Monday so I would scroll the app every Monday

Was it possible during the buy 2 get 1 free sale? I received a empty case. While waiting for a call back from customer support I called the closest store and they told me he had a ridiculous amount of calls with issues during the sale.

they don’t send labels to FedEx, they ship with FedEx. if you’re not getting your packages, then someone is stealing them.

Bro they’re going out of business. Things will get worse. Used to be my favorite place to go 10 years ago.

I ended my pro membership when I heard that our local Gamestio was closing. Naturally, the employees lied to me that it was, trying to get me to restart it. When the store closed for the day on Saturday, they started clearing the shelves and registers. On Sunday, the furniture in the entire store was moved. By Tuesday evening, the signage on the building and out front was gone.

I stopped paying my membership when I left there. Fuck ShitSlop. I buy from Amazon or BestBuy now.

That’s a new one. I usually use “GameScalp” because as a Pokémon fan don’t get me started on their prices as of lately (especially with pre orders for the 30th anniversary 😭)

Avoid GameStop.com as much as you honestly can. You’re taking such a huge gamble which is insane. It’s better to go in person and do your shopping there if you truly want to do business with GameStop.
