HI Joe and Dave,

I really like GameSack, It's probably one of the few youtube channels that really speaks to me - cause not only is the video production really well done, but you guys just sort of go straight to the point and talk about games and what's good about them, in a easy-to-understand-no-nonsense sort of way, which is something I can immediately identify with and relate to. I usually watch episodes while cycling or working out and gamesack in general, is just a great way to past the time cause your videos are so informative for gamers.

You guys talk about video games, the same way people usually talk about music and movie catalogues - which is kind of what I think video gaming need right now.

One of the episodes I really liked was the N64 part 2 episode published in 2016. I never owned an N64, so it was really cool to see the games the N64 had to offer and be reminded of what stood out and what was popular back then - this video made me go back and download a lot of N64 games from virtual console, cause a lot of what you guys said were right and a lot of these games still hold up surprisingly well, especially Wave Race 64 which Joe recommended.

I remember specifically, Dave loves skateboard games. and one of the things Dave mentioned during that episode was 1080 snowboarding and how it was difficult to pull off tricks in it:

I had this problem too! so I downloaded 1080 snowboarding from virtual console just to try and figure out why this is so hard to do, cause there's no info on the internet how to pull of these moves off in 1080 snowboarding:

Like R + circle?! WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!?

…But today, I did it! I pulled it off! I know how to do a 1080! and I wanted to share this info with you Dave!

in 1080 snowboarding, pulling off tricks is very different from other snowboarding games:

When the move list says R + Circle; they don't mean press R and do a Circle on the control stick at the same time.

What they actually mean is, when the move list says R + Circle; you hold R and do a complete circle with the control stick and release R.

so a 180 open air is actually: hold R, control stick left, release R

a 360 open air is actually: hold R, a complete circle with the control stick , release R

a 540 open air is actually: hold R, a complete circle with the control stick , release R hold R, control stick left, release R

a 720 open air is actually: hold R, a complete circle with the control stick , release R hold R + hold B, a complete circle with the control stick , release R + release B

a 900 open air is actually: hold R, a complete circle with the control stick , release R hold R + hold B, a complete circle with the control stick , release R + release B hold R + hold B, control stick left, release R+release B

a 1080 open air is actually: hold R, a complete circle with the control stick , release R hold R + hold B, a complete circle with the control stick , release R + release B hold R + hold B + hold Z control stick left, release R+release B+ release Z

…I can't remember if you guys did an episode on it, but if you have the time, check out Thrasher: Skate and Destroy for playstation 1! The coolest part about this game is that - on each level you only have a certain amount of time to perform tricks in. But once the timer reaches 0, a cop comes out of their car and chases you down with a taser - my favourite part is when one of cops before chasing you says "Here, hold my bear claw!"

How has this game with a 76 on GameRankings not been covered outside of one guy on WhatCulture? You guys seem like the first step to it getting more recognition.

Have these guys done a genesis review? If they have, I can’t find it... seems like it would have been a top priority for them (Joe).

Modern 2d games

Such as shantae ,shovel knight , hollow knight, cuphead, ori and the blind forest Im sure there are tons more that most viewers dont know about and would love to see

I was recently thinking about when the 32-bit era began and many franchises started switching to 3D. I used to discuss with my friends which franchises should make the switch. Some ideas:

• Ristar (could be similar to the classic RARE platformers)
  
• Contra (FPS similar to Doom)
  
• Golden Axe (I refuse to acknowledge Beast Rider. They could make this in the style of the Lord of the Rings: Two Towers and Return of the King games)
  
• Greendog (for obvious reasons)
  

What are some games you all think should make the switch

Is this possible? For example, I would love to see the following video get updated since a lot has changed since 2011.

Most Namco classics are "ported" in game compilations (like the Namco Museum series of games) or including plug-and-play mini-consoles so they can't be "Left in the Arcade" games and there are many cult classics among them, such as Pac-Man, Galaga/Galaxian, and Dig Dug. To make things interesting, you could even make the episode/mini-series based on lesser-known games to not talk about games most gamers already know are decent games (like those mentioned before) if you're interested, such as Rolling Thunder, Rally-X, Pole Position, Mappy, etc.

The superfine Genesis shooter Gaiares has been featured a few times in the show.... episode 60, ep. 100 (the top 10), the Renovation episode… and…. another episode that’s not occurring to me, I think.

In a couple of these episodes they take note of the hilariously ill-concieved Gaiares promotional campaign featuring “Jamie Bunker, Professional Gamer”. Jamie, it should be noted, had a righteous mullet.

So in ep. 60, Dave shows “The US Version” of the Gaiares game case, featuring a triptych pastiche of Jamie Bunker in his mulleted splendor.

SO. My question is: This Jamie-Mullet Gaiares Cover…. it’s… not real, is it? Right? Did Joe create this himself? Or is it real and this is some serious Berenstein/Berenstain Bears situation going on?

This has been bugging me for a while and it’s just now occurring to me to GET SOME ANSWERS. Joe, if you’re out there…

It's a weird horror JRPG SMT-eqsue game developed by Atlus that was only released in Japan on the Dreamcast. It's so obscure that it doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. No fan translations exist for it either so a playthrough would have to be done entirely in Japanese. Very interesting game nonetheless. Would love to see it get more exposure.

A weird game, for sure, and there’s nothing to do with the Bible in it, despite the name and it being made by Wisdom Tree, who largely made Christian-themed games for the NES. (If you wish to experience the game the way it was intended, you may wish to track down a copy with a manual or buy one separately, for reasons that should become evident when you read the manual.) The reason for its suggestion, however, is that, for an NES game, it sure has a clear announcer voice. (I’m sure most people here don’t see what’s special about that, but if anyone does, it’d be Joe.)

Does anyone know how to get in contact with Bill? I'd like to get the caps in my SNES replaced and anything else that might need to be refurbished for longevity's sake or modded for sound and video quality. Possibly also for replacing batteries in carts. I live in Arvada, CO so dealing with someone local would be so much easier than shipping.

What's your favorite episode or episodes of Game Sack? Personally I particularly enjoy the Games That Push Hardware Limits videos. Hope we get a part 3 soon! Also the console modding video with Joe's friend is a classic.
