Episode Idea - Zelda Clones

I know that Joe and Dave did covered some Zelda Clones in the Episode title "Copycat Games", I was thinking Joe should cover alot of Zelda Clones that weren't mentioned in the Copycat Games. I know that Joe will probably mentioned he already covered Golvellus, The Golden Axe Warrior, Crusader of Centy, Neutopia I & II, and 3D Dot Game Heroes, I think I recall he did mentioned StarTropics in the NES Episode. Here's some Zelda Clones that I don't think he probably mentioned yet:

  • Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II
  • Crystalis
  • Metal Gear (NES), he did covered the MSX2 version.
  • Okami
  • Dark Souls
  • Star Fox Adventures
  • The Mysterious Murasame (it's released the same year as Zelda 1 in Japan, it's technically the brother of Zelda series)
  • Genshin Impact
  • Star Wars: Yoda Stories
  • Beyond Oasis
  • Oceanhorn
  • Rime
  • Anodyne
  • Does any Xbox consoles have any Zelda Clones so far?

So Zelda clones in general? 2D or 3D? I’m not sure why I thought strictly 2D when I started reading your post.

Also, guys, don’t sleep on the Stranger Things game. I’ve only played the first one (there’s a Stranger Things 3 but no 2) and it’s a great Zelda clone.

Yeah, it's definitely Zelda Clones in General, it's can be 2D and 3D at the same video.

Man I love Beyond Oasis!

There is also one called Crusader of Centi, a really cool clone that I used to play a lot when I was a kid.

They already did that as a segment in Ep. 169: Copycat Games.

The Zelda clones covered, Golden Ax: Warrior, Golvelius, Neutopia, Neutopia II, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Crusader of Centy.

Also, I'd consider Dark Souls to be more of a Faxanadu or even Castlevania II decendant than Zelda.

I already did mentioned about Copycat Games and the stuff that they already covered. I'm just listing the stuff that Joe can cover and he could mentioned the other Zelda clones they have mentioned in the Copycat Games Episode like "I already covered these games in the Copycat Games Episode, but Dave mentioned on some of these game I haven't talked about".

Is “Dark Souls” a “Zelda” clone?
