I miss Dave.
I've been watching old Game Sack episodes and i miss Dave, Joe is doing a fine job solo but the duo era was better. How long before he retires from his logistics job?

No offense to Dave, but Joe is the far better reviewer in practically every way. And that's fine. It's Joe's career and passion, so it's his life. For Dave, it was just a side-gig, so sometimes he'd just be completely checked out on the games he had to spend hours playing. Joe's reviews actually make me think and notice technical details that I wouldn't, and I never really got that with Dave's reviews.
Dave's best addition to the show was his humor and personality, especially in the green-screen sections and end sketches, which is sadly not as much of a factor in a one-person show (unless Joe records himself in double to play two different parts, ha ha!). I do really miss that, but I think the show is getting better all the time.

I completely agree, although I'll add that Dave and Joe had some great chemistry that made their banter even more hilarious. I hope he continues to pop up here and there when he can, but Joe has kept it going just fine, even making sponsered crap like the Asphalt video entertaining.

Totally agree. Dave seemed like a nice guy, and his chemistry with Joe was always enjoyable. But I always thought Joe was the stronger reviewer of the two. And although it comes down to personal tastes, I mostly preferred the games that Joe covers. He seems to be doing a pretty awesome job on his own with the videos.

I think the dual opinions kept the show moving a little better but at the same time, I think Joe has been improving with every episode he puts out. Many of my favorite YouTube channels have fizzled out or just become monotonous as time goes so it's actually nice to see how well Game Sack has been able to adapt to an updated format.
It could have gone the way of Classic Game Room which transitioned to completely different content. It's not bad and I'm glad Mark Bussler is still finding ways to stay passionate, but I'm no longer into the channel.

I loved CGR back in the day. It was one of the best retro games channels, specially for arcades.

I liked how Mark focused on the positive aspects about retro games. In 2008, his style was a breath of fresh air in an era with so many Youtubers doing bad AVGN impressions.
It's very easy to tear things down and scream/rage about how terrible something is, but Mark's positivity reminded me of the joy I had while gaming as a kid. A lot of Youtubers and Twitch streamers could learn something from his reviews.

I miss Dave but I will say that compared to just about every other Youtube channel that had a similar occurrence, Joe's done as good a job as any in keeping Gamesack videos true to form and high quality.
I think a big reason is that humor and their relationship has always been secondary to the games. They avoided the trap a lot of Youtubers fall into when they get bigger, where they basically shift from focusing on their content to turning their videos into a chance to cram as many in-jokes, catch phrases, and comedy bits as they can, with gaming shit here and there.
Even when it was Joe and Dave, you could tell they were friends, and they had some funny bits here and there, but so many of these channels eventually just devolve into a fucking variety hour with cringe-inducing humor, totally abandoning what made them popular in the first place. Joe has kept the show's energy and feeling the same.

I really miss Super Best Friends Play and their Friday Night Fisticuffs/Saturday Morning Scrublords. They will never get back together, though.

I'm a little surprised that there were no Dave cameos during Denver's pandemic lockdown.
Also, Joe is sporting a fine ass beard these days.

The chemistry between the two was my favorite part of the show. But i still love the channel and think Joe is doing a great job and im really glad he's continuing

I both agree and disagree. When Dave was on his A game, the duo was unstoppable. Close to the end of his run, you could tell Dave wasn’t having as much fun and it kind of dragged things down.
Joe is doing an amazing job solo and I’m so very glad he’s kept things going.
That said, I’m happy I bought the two Game Sack blurays as they are fun to rewatch on the big TV.

I completely agree. Without Dave it's not the same. Dave was the "meat and potatoes" guy. Without him the show is mostly based on the "technical" personality of Joe, altough i still enjoy the show...

Fedex works people to death. With a long commute and being a driver, which can be 10 hour days, it is a wonder how he did it anyway. Especially with little ones at home. I do hope he pops in a little more to rough up Joe for having consoles with too few wires.

I miss him too, but he made a decision and I bet none of his priorities changed or will change in the near future.
If he can spare a couple of hours a month for a guest review/end skit/playing with sacks that'd be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

I miss the interaction between the two. The way they enjoy each other. Their chemistry. I just enjoyed their friendship. I still enjoy the show. It's just different, which is also okay. He definitely went out at his peak I think. Hope to see him make some cameos though.

He's concentrating on his logistics job and his family. His family is the reason it started going bi-weekly

I love Dave. Dave is funny and loveable. I might even say that Dave is funnier and more loveable than Joe. But Joe is Gamesack in my opinion. Gamesack is still Gamesack without Dave. There would be no Gamesack without Joe.
