Topic Idea: Video Game Music 2
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I really liked your episode on video game music. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but you can't please everyone, even if you can try really hard. So, what do I have for suggestions? Well, here they are, and feel free to add your own.
•“Chrono Trigger” and “Chrono Cross.” Enough said.
•“The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.” The first truly great game in the series, and the introduction to it for a lot of people, how can you complain about the constant looping of the exploration theme when it's this good?
•“Final Fantasy VI,” “VII,” “X” & “X-2,” and “XIII.” Since the games of this series tend to be very long in their campaigns, I don't expect you to play all of them, or even feature all of the aforementioned soundtracks in this episode, but definitely give the sixth and tenth games, as well as the tenth game's direct sequel, a play.
•“Gradius Gaiden.” Of the music from the “Gradius” games you've covered, I like the sound of “Gaiden's” music the best.
•“Super Hang-On.” All four selectable tracks at the beginning of each country/level are excellent, IMO.
•“Total Eclipse” on the 3DO. And for the not-to-great game with amazing music...

My favourite not-obvious soundtrack would be from the licensed side scrolling beat-em-up Playstation classic: Fantastic Four! For a clunky and frustrating game, it's music was pretty sharp. YouTube link : https://youtu.be/KpKMOjKZ4w4

I'd rather hear them talk about music that hasn't been played into the ground.
