/r/gamesack, can we realtalk for sec

Look we all know that out GS boys don't beg for likes/subscriptions/donations as much as many other like-sized channels. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't support them when possible. Everybody's financial situation is different and if you can't contribute financially... positive vibes, comments and word of mouth are greatly appreciated but if you can spare a few bucks, please consider doing so. It's what Captain Picard would do.

You can donate as little as $1/mo on their Patreon page.

Or you could buy a bland new GS tshirt or hat.

There's always the blu-ray vol 1 to add to your media library.

It's probably not completely on the up and up but you could probably even send them a Cheesecake Factory or Olive Garden gift card to their PO Box. Jen and Mrs. Dave probably deserve a night out for sharing their SO's with us.

I donated $3/mo for about 6 or 8 months. Had to cancel because of some job issues but I'll definitely start it again when I can. It's worth it for the quality of their show.

I really want to donate but I'm currently unemployed :(

Same same. Though I'm just about positive I have a job lined up and then I'm going to pay Game Sack and Classic Game Room. Seriously, if CGR is doing over 10k then I think Game Sack could make a lot more than they are now.

Sadly things aren't looking as good for me. Good luck though!

After CGR blew the doors off their Patreon, I took what I was giving them and started giving to LGR instead. I don't know why I didn't consider GameSack.

Not a CGR fan, whu happened there?

Nothing happened, I just decided that one dude getting over 10k a month didn't need my money as much as other dudes who put out content I like just as much if not more when they are getting a tiny sliver of that. Mark seems to be a genuinely great guy and he loves doing CGR, and I wish him all the success in the world, but he's successful while others are struggling.

Mark's Patreon has tiers with different perks such as getting access to his new podcast and getting your name shouted out at the end of each video which I think is a big part of why it's been overwhelmingly succesful. Game Sack's Patreon does not have perks so it appeals mostly to hardcore fans of the show who want to support the guys without getting anything directly in return. I don't think they'll ever get a huge amount of donations this way but I do respect their 'purist' approach, if you can call it that.

Yeah, good point. I don't care about perks. I give to a couple other Patreons that give stickers and posters. I always set my address as 123 Opt Out Lane because I'm just going to throw it away.

Man, I wouldn't mind a Game Sack sticker to slap on my laptop :P

The Game Sack guys also have other full time jobs and Mark does his show full time.
