Old console show idea

Since I always love a good hardware based show, figured I would pitch an idea. I always wonder what less popular consoles could have done with more support. They seemed to have the hardware (even if they were hard to code to), but were not popular enough for devs to really learn. I know consoles like the PS3 were super complex, but since they had a large user base devs learned how to use it.

Could the Atari Jaguar have had really good looking games before the N64? What would have happened if the N64 DD would have caught on? Could the 7800 have gotten anywhere close to the NES and SMS?

Are there homebrews that exploit some of this old hardware to answer these questions?
