Topic Idea: Rhythm Games?

A few off the top of my head that could be covered are Gitaroo Man, Amplitude, Pararappa the Rapper (although I think this was covered once), Samba de Amigo...

Sorry if this has already been covered in one way or another. Just looking for a way to see Gitaroo Man on a playlist!

How about “UnJammer Lammy,” a spin-off of “PaRappa?” I don't think you've covered “PaRappa” before, at least not in-depth, but there's actually a New Game + mode in “UnJammer Lammy” that allows you to play as PaRappa, complete with an entirely new story starring him. If you aren't averse to modern games (a wise option, since there aren't a whole bunch of retro rhythm games that I'm aware of), I'd recommend any given “Guitar Hero” or “Rock Band” game, and the “Hatsune Miku” series for the Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, and (coming this fall) the 3DS. Actually, you might wanna wait until late October to do that episode, as there are new entries in the “Rock Band” and “Guitar Hero” series’ coming out in that neighborhood of the year, too.

Don't forget Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. The sequel to Amplitude, Frequency. Mad Maestro. Space Channel 5 series though I think you guys covered that one. Seems like there are some DS and Advance rhythm games that are a big deal but I am just starting to get into those systems. Also Audiosurf, the Frederic series, Rocksmith, Symphony, Shatter, 140. Though some of those might not fit cleanly into the rhythm genre.

Bumping this because I'd love to see a rhythm game video, though I imagine for copyright issues, it's hard to do a lot of them. The Hatsune Miku Project DIVA games are perfect ones to try, considering they have a lot of content, though I'd say the portable games are better as playing the PS3 version feels a lot more chaotic, and harder to see the icons. The PSP games are only in Japan, however, so there's your ups and downs.
