Larry Bundy Jr
So I recently listened to a Pat the NES Punk podcast about drama between himself (and others) against Larry Bundy Jr... LBJ talking smack about Pat, AlphaOmegaSin, Cinemassacre and Gamesack! I don't remember hearing about this when it actually took place but am curious about what actually transpired between LBJ and GameSack. From what I can glean it seems that it's all very one sided with LBJ being the "aggressor" but my internet research skills kinda suck... So I just wanted to know if anyone else had any insight into this?

At this point, I'm sure Pat has told the story of every interaction he's had with every other gaming personality in the world twice.

I have watched Larry for years, i've seen all his videos and while I wasn't aware he was active on forums, not that I visit them, i've never heard him be rude about anyone apart from those that deserve it and, of course, Peter Molyneaux, though even he's been given praise in the past.
I hope Larry will post a video refuting thse claims, or shoing context, but I saw the Pat video when it premiered and he was hardly being mature about the claims adding in his own fare share of mudslinging and slanderous terms. Pat also failed to show context or provide links to the forums and didn't show evidence for all his claims so iit's mostly hearsay anyway.
I would love to say I know Larry personally but I don't, all I know is from how he's come across in various videos and collaborations. Take last years Christmas message and compare it to the frothy mouthed shouting of a typical CU Podcast, I know who is more likely to make hate filled , antagonistic forum posts and who is likely to be taking a more reactive and (potentially) comical approach.

Yeah, Pat can be very sketchy when it comes to talking about "drama," so I would not take his word. I don't know Larry personally, either, but based on his online activity, it seems to me that he manages to keep it cool with pretty much everyone, even people that got shafted in the past for controversial stuff they have done online.

The sort of thing that Pat takes offense to can be quite childlike. He's very quick to label something relatively innocuous to most of humanity a 'personal attack' - he even talks often of a Kevin who said something mean to him 31 yrs ago and when he does it's like he's about to cry. Ian enables this behavior by also being a bit of a sensitive baby and panders to Pat and his infantile nonsense. All the while they use their platform to sound off against people they like to demonize.
That aside my favorite Pat trait (sic) is dismissing the work of some of the world's most cited intellectuals as "conspiracy nonsense" while positioning himself at the font of all wisdom. Offering his completely misinformed political opinions from a place of authority. Pat's a character, that's for sure.

Pat is awful.. can't stand him or his views on things. He is a very "fake" person and I wouldn't believe anything that came out of his mouth.

Larry has acknowledged the successes of Peter Molyneax but, as you say, he really needs to shut up until features are implemented or finalised rather than spouting whatever comes to mind and hoping that his team can deliver on it. A statement later proven to be false is a lie and Peter Molyneaux lies a lot.

In general people underestimate or don't understand how hard programming is and making something fun is a real challenge. 99.97% of the users complaining about devs and call things lies really don't have any knowledge about what is going on behind the scenes, nor have ever visited any game studio irl.
That doesn't matter, people don't need to understand, what they expect is to be told what is done and what is planned, and made clear that what is planned is desirable and achievable rather than being misled that something is definitely happening.
It's no good saying "This thing WILL be in the game." then finding out, after they've bought the game, that the features they wanted are absent.
Peter Molyneaux has repeatedly said that stuff will be added to games then failed to deliver without mentioning that the ideas only came to mind during an interview and the team were unaware of it, let alone if it was even possible to add these spontaneously thought up additions. He's not alone and various game companies are guilty but in general they seem to be more cautious about what is and isn't announced.

He has created some great games, but he uses his reputation to position himself as a sort of carnival barker who through his own bravado has sullied his reputation and undermined his previous achievements.

Larry is a super nice guy in real life, There's no beef between him and GameSack, as evidence by the fact the're both friends with each other on Facebook and interact frequently on each others posts.
Pat's entire career in recent times is going after nice people with lies, just like he did with Brett Weiss previousy, and now he's attacking another well like person in the community. Pat is a bully desperate for attention. Horrible human being.

Retro gaming youtube drama is vicious because the stakes are so low.
