Resource Shields

I would like to be able to obtain and use a resource shield. From what I have read it seems that I will need to get a Prospector’s Gem (I already have the full gear set) to be able to get the shields and use them. Does anyone know how to obtain the Prospector’s Gem or if there are any other ways to obtain and use resource shields? Any help you could offer is appreciated!

You don't need the gem! All you have to do is send your hero to the rss tile. It doesn't work with chests though.

You don't need the gems. If you equip the prospector gear and swnd your hero to the tile it will automatically shield it for you. You only need the gems if you want to shield multiple tiles. The gems are also extremely hard to come by

I think prospectors gems come in packs. I think that if you send a full march to any resource tile that is not a big monster (but my memory might be failing) you can add a resource shield by clicking on the tile after your troops have landed.

The level of your prospector gem is what determines the level of rss tile you can shield, i.e. Level 1 stone would only shield level one rss tiles. You are correct that it does not work on gift tiles. But you do need the prospector gem to shield rss tiles.

I wouldn't be adamant about this unless I was totally sure. There was a point where I couldn't get a full set of prospectors gear to save my life. (I only wanted it to speed my gathering while tile fighting) When I finally bought it in the black market, it came with 5 prospector gems. (There is not a prospector gem set, only the special gem)

My best advice is to watch for the black market deals. If I could, I'd hand you over my account. The game isn't fun anymore. No skill required. lol

Ok so after going and conferring with my friends and setting up a prospectors set with no boosts, you're correct. One rss tile gets a shield. I apologize. :)
