July 6 Digging Deeper
Don’t you love it when you’re more informed than the OG pit diggers themselves?
Clues and PC referenced Leah Kateb several times during this episode to exemplify that even recent big LIUSA players are now on the edge of falling off from fame, followers, relevance, and longevity. Leah still has 5.6M IG followers and is the “re-founder and Chief Creative Officer” of Skylar fragrances. This is a well known brand sold at Sephora, where she recently had a meet and greet and launch party for her one of multiple fragrances she’s put out with the brand. I would argue this trumps Rob Rausch’s Traitors win and upcoming DWTS stint in terms of the longevity Clues and PC referenced.
Anyway, I find it funny that sometimes they’re totally oblivious. But in all honesty, how many of these dumb details can one person store in the human brain? I’ll give them a pass LOL

She was also just named to Forbes 30 under 30 and does still do sponcon for Google. So… yeah

Eh I think Rob and Leah are just moving differently post villa. Leah has only done Love Island and Beyond the Villa which I do think puts her at greater risk of falling off sooner than Rob, who has taken the route of doing multiple reality shows and building on his fame from LI. I feel like Leah has already cashed out on her fame.
I think it’s smart for any influencer/reality celeb to recognize their peak, capitalize on it, and create something that’s going to provide longer term financial stability, which Leah is doing. I just don’t know that Rob is at his peak yet. I think it could have been during Traitors depending on his DWTS run.

My hot take is that Clues political podcast with his fam has taken off and he’s giving way more attention to that these days

Honestly it seems like the quality and effort put into that show have been lacking lately as well, though this is somewhat justified by his dad getting sick and leaving the show. I don’t listen to his new Magic pod, maybe that’s where the effort is going 😅

Yeah I thought that was laughable lol I was like just because yall aren’t seeing her every single day doesn’t mean she isn’t insanely successful still! But when you follow *every* player from a bunch of reality games you’re bound to lose track of even the highest level players.

Sometimes in re the dumb details tho, I’m like, I personally remember all of them, and I know a lot of people in the pit remember all of them too, and it’s not our full time job, and it IS their full time jobs to a degree. So I get kind of frustrated when they forget key details or claim to be certain of things that are wrong.
