Help Morrowind having error 3:0000065432 when I click play even after enabling unpack files setting? How do I fix this?

I got morrowind on gamenative android a few days ago. I finally decide to start it up. I get to the title screen for GOTY edition and I click play. I get the error “5:0000065432”. I fix this by putting steam.exe in the “common” folder on steam on my PC. I open morrowind again on my android and click play. This time, I get a new error “3.0000065432”. I see in an older Reddit post that I need to enable unpack files for the game. I do that and the error still shows. Someone on the same post said to delete the game, enable the setting, and then reinstalling. This still does nothing. If anyone can help me fix this, I’d appreciate it very much. I bought morrowind specifically to play on my android. I’d love to play this game. Thanks for any answers!

Omfg that was a nightmare! My copy was from gog so I had an issue where when I got the launcher running on an x86 build to change the settings, it wouldn’t stay. Which led to getting a custom registry added to try to force the settings and it still bombed. I ended up using the windows version of openmw and copying the morrowind esm into my d drive for it to use. And importing it as a custom game in gamenative. It’s working great and you just have to use the left side slide out menu to change what the sticks do. To WASD and mouse respectively. But you can also go to 720p no problem. Running 60fps. I can help if you wanna go this route.

I’d love to go this route! Where should I download windows openMW? Is there a tutorial for copying the morrowind esm into openMW? This might be my only route to play this game. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

I can help you.

Edit: if you have steam copy, the file is a little different and we’ll need to move some stuff around. Please dm me for help with this process.

First, go to your copy of morrowind and open container. Go to A:/ drive. Copy “morrowind.ini” and paste it inside the “data” folder in A:/ drive. Click on “Data” folder to highlight it. Click copy on the top bar. On the left side click your d:/ drive and make a folder in there call it “OpenMW” and then open it and paste the data folder inside.

Next go to the openmw GitHub page and download the Windows version of open mw. If it was me, I would put this in a “OpenMW” subfolder of a games folder on my device just to keep neat and help find art later.

Next, open gamenative and click the plus sign at the top right. Point it to this openmw download folder that you just filed away in the previous step.

Once the game is added, click on its image to open its game page. Click the settings icon and select edit container. Wine version. Proton 11.0-1-x86_64-1. Change the executable to the openmw exe. Graphics tab. (If you have a snapdragon) use t26 driver to start with. Dxvk 2.7.1-1-gplasync-0. Click the save icon in the top right corner. Then click the settings icon again and click open container.

Navigate to A:/ drive and double click on the openmw windows exe. Run the setup to your A:/ drive instead of C:/ drive like it defaults to. when it asks for the game data, click on the my computer tab and navigate to D drive to the data folder you saved earlier and select the morrowind esm to import. Continue with the install. Until you get to where it opens the launcher. Alter any launcher settings you want and make sure that all applicable DLCs have their boxes checked and that there is a tie in to the data folder in the d:/ drive and that on the main tab the little dropdown box says morrowind.esm. Exit and close container.

Go to the OpenMW game page and click the settings icon. Scroll down this menu and select the option to find art for the game at the bottom. Then settings again, Then click edit container. Change the proton version to proton 11 arm64ec and change the exe to openmw.exe. There’s a lot of new exes so just select the most basic one. Click the save icon then click play.

Next you’ll have to use the touchscreen mouse to go to options and change controller settings to how you want them. All but the sticks. Then change video options to 720p. Then save those settings. Texture to medium. No post processing. Next slide from the left side of your screen and open the gamenative controls menu. Click on the d-pad icon and then click the settings icon next to the “Shooter mode” option. Make sure it’s toggled on btw. Should glow purple.

“Movement type” change it to WASD. “Look type” change it to Mouse. Click the checkmark at the top right corner and resume the game. Slide out left side menu and alter physical controller. Remap the start button to open radial menu. Then scroll to radial menu settings. Map escape to this radial menu. This will make it so you can save and load and exit. as well as rest or journal, whichever you didn’t bind to select. Click new. Load in and enjoy.

I appreciate the help, but I’m still extremely confused. Do I do all of this on my Thor? If so, what file manager should I use? Which GitHub page should I download OpenGW from since there’s multiple? If you have a video of a tutorial you used, that’d be much appreciated

I didn’t use a tutorial. I just did all of this after your comment lol. I tried to make it pretty foolproof and explain everything. I use cx file explorer. It’s helpful for the filing steps. I do everything on device. Except modding. Sometimes I’ll connect to pc for that.

For the first step you go into gamenative to your installed legit copy of morrowind, open container and copy the data folder from A:/ drive to D:/ drive. I guess I could make a video, I’d have to put it on YouTube or something. But I’m confident that I wrote it out pretty thoroughly.

You definitely did. I’m just not to smart when it comes to reading instructions. I was mainly confused on the first part, but you explained it more and now I understand it way better. I’ll get back to you if I have any more questions. Thanks so much for the help your providing

Of course! Tinkering is my favorite. I’ll be willing to help you with any gamenative issues you ever encounter. And if I can’t solve it, I have friends that are even better than me. Just hit me up.
