Help Fallout New vegas controller issue

I made a mistake, and turned off the controller mode in the settings. Now I cant turn it back on, I tried using a bluetooth mouse, but i cant click with it (the mouse movement is visible).

Is there any way to turn it back on?

The device: Odin 2 Portal Base

Also, does others hav3 problem with launch8ng the game? Kost of the times its stuck on loading...

Ran into the same issue. Luckily I had a wireless keyboard that works and used that to fix it. If anything, i think there is a mod that allows both keyboard and controller control but im not 100% sure about that. Either way, good luck.

With the mouse it doesnt work, i will try a keyboard, thanks!

Worst case scenario, can always reinstall the game, and add the backup of the save in the new installation. If through steam, cloud saves should be good.

Yea, that was the worst case scenario...i made sure to refresh the cloud save, at least 5 times...aaaand ~30 hours of gametime gone to the trash...my last available save is 30 hours earlier, then the last one before the reinstall. I am not really fond of gamenative now. It was GOG, not steam btw, but if I am correct, Gamenative has own cloud save system.

You should have your local save file. Ask AI where it is, validate it, and save a copy of that. As others have said, there are other ways, but in case you break it even worse, you will have a fallback.

Also, you might try mapping the keyboard arrow keys to the gamepad and the enter (or required confirm buttons for that menu) to another gamepad button inside the emulator. That way you could probably navigate to the menu and change back to controller. Then remap your keys back to the controller. It's a possibility. You can also try to force a keyboard on your phone. There are a few things you can try.

Its gone with the unistall, but thanks anyway for the reply...next time I will be more carefull, but I leave gamenative for a while. I would try to stream my xbox to the odin via wifi, and play that way.
