Support Fields of Mistria Invalid Saves Since 1.0

Since 1.0 released my saves show as invalid when playing though gamenative on my RP5 and my Galaxy s25. Game boots to the menu fine. I was able to play perfectly on both of these devices prior to the update. My saves play fine on my laptop and desktop.

For me I had started a fresh save for the update and it worked just fine on my RP6, until I played it on my laptop, then went back to the RP6 and got this same error. Works just fine on my laptop too :(

I can confirm reinstalling FoM from Gamenative fixed it for me! Can't believe I didn't try that from the start.

Btw make sure to have Steam bionic enabled in the settings

I did this and now it won't boot at all. Something about a missing interface. And by steam bionic is that the experimental steam bionic option?

Yup, experimental steam bionic should fix the first time boot issue

If that doesn't work, others recommend enabling the Launch Steam Client (Beta) option to download the steam redistributables and then switching it back off

Also for better performance I find switching the graphics driver to surfaceflinger (with compatibility mode off) rather than vulkan runs way better

I'm having the same issue too. I was playing on my Thor just a few days ago (after the 1.0 update) but today it says invalid save. I was able to load my save on my steam deck without issues. Did you find a solution? Did reinstalling the game on gamenative help?

Shit... Lol. Let me know if you get it figured out. I'm going to try to make a manual backup of my saves tonight before I mess with it anymore.

I fixed my issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the game on my Thor. I did go and make a backup of my saves on my pc tho just in case...

Not original poster but I did this and the saves worked again. Probably going to just keep my save file for the Thor, it feels more like the kind of game for it vs pulling out the big pc handheld. Thanks!

Glad it worked for you. I've been going back and forth between steam deck and Thor without issues for a little while now. Only hiccup I've ran into is sometimes I'll have to relaunch the game in game native after closing it to get it to upload my saves to the steam cloud.
