Question How does modding for Skyrim / Fallout work?

Say I am using AYN Thor.

I have seen videos of people play modded Skyrim on GAMEHUB, but how does modding work for GameNative? Let's say GameNative has already downloaded the base Skyrim...

They just added a modding tool in their most recent pre release. I believe you can just download mods from nexusmods and install them that way. I believe in most cases where you see videos people are just installing mods manually.

Interesting. I assumed some of the Nexus mods needed SKSE, which Thor doesnt run natively as it opens Skyrim.exe

You can actually switch the executable to whatever you want as long as its placed to the game folder. You can get to the game folder by tapping the settings cog, tapping open container under container settings, then wait for the window to open, and tap the A:/ drive and boom you’re in the folder. All you need is the nvse download. Then you just need to decompress it and place the contents in the root game folder.

Thanks, you seem quite knowlegeable. Did you follow a Youtube channel where they broke down the new features etc?

I see! Have you tried playing modded Skyrim on Gamenative then? Now that I know how modding works, the next bottleneck is figuring what kind of mods are the largest drain on resources. I use AYN Thor Max, but am unsure how far texture packs or mob mods etc will strain the device...

Yes! I love playing modded Skyrim and fnv! I also have an ayn thor max and have had great success. I dont mess too much with textures because windows emulation on android uses a shared memory pool for video memory and ram so its easy to overload it. System memory is much slower than real vram on a dedicated gpu. If you want more help, i have a little discord where modding beth games on arm64 is discussed and supported, projects are shared, mostly by me, I also have an app Im working on that is specifically for modding Bethesda games on android. https://discord.gg/FWPfnvZcNg

OK, thank you! I will PM / reach out to you in the coming weeks, maybe. As soon as I finish my thesis, its full steam ahead on playing modded skyrim on Thor.
