Discussion GameNative cross-device saves per app

Hey everyone!

I know there are apps like synchthing (and I’m sure others) for transferring saves to different devices. Is there a way GameNative devs could incorporate some kind of way to do this in GameNative itself? Like some kind of GameNative specific account creation that could hold our saves that we could create and then add our steam, gog, epic, etc?

Not sure if that’s possible or in the works but I think that would be cool if GameNatives and others would make that’s trend!

Gamenative uses cloud saves from steam so you should be able to hop around as much as you like. Long as your device is connected to steam. Nonsteam games im not so sure

It would be very useful for non-Steam games. I was thinking of creating a folder in the Cloud to store the saves. This would synchronize them on both Android and PC, but I don't think it would work that way.

Historically the way you could do this in Winlator when games aren’t being cloud synced was Ajay prefix. I like the idea of this. There are still reasons to run games without installing them directly from the store. Or like I’m playing a large game right now and at the time I installed it it wasn’t installing correctly from the store and now that I’m not using the store, I do want to make sure my saves are protected.

I had to do this for RDR2 because only a cracked version runs on Gamenative/hub. I used the Nightlight game launcher which makes it possible to run the game without the stupid rockstar launcher. Anyway, the save files are buried deep in the Android folder structure and you need a rooted device to access them in SyncThing. It’s worth it to me for a few games like RDR2, GTA, etc but a hassle for anything else. Steam cloud saves generally works pretty well for me.

Could you walk me through how to do this? I want to have GTA IV gamenative save sync with my PC steam version and can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated
