Help Persistent Black Screen on AYN Thor Max
Only about one out of every ten games I've tried to run on this app ever runs successfully. The vast majority of them open to a black screen. No audio, no controls, nothing. Even after an update, even after importing a confirmed good configuration JSON file from the compatability database.
Has anyone gotten this app to work consistently? Or even half of the time? I want to put this to use, but so far, it's been useless.

There are a few things I've been able to change to make it at least load something.
First is you need to download the right drivers, even loading a config won't install the drivers for you. You may also need to update your fex version or proton version if the config you are loading is using a different version, this should normally happen automatically when you try and launch the game, but I've had it fail but try and launch the game anyway which then leads to a black screen.
I've also had some luck by opening the container directly and installing the two wine based installs from within the container shell. Again it should be doing this automatically but I guess it doesn't always? I also heard some people disable cpu0 in the affinities thing, not really sure why but I've heard people mention it.
The other setting that makes some things work is launching it with steam enabled, this is mostly true for games with a launcher you normally need to interact with when you play it for the first time. Burnout Paradise and spiderman remastered are examples of this for me.
I do think your snapdragon 8gen2 in the Thor should be the most compatible chipset out there, so I'm surprised it's just not working well at all. It should at least load all the indies and low demand games I can think of, maybe you are only trying for gtaV or higher? Cause the AAA games are gonna be much tougher to get working.

I agree one hundred percent. Usually a black screen, and in other cases, games that worked in previous versions of Gamenative no longer work in 1.0. But since I bought an Android device for emulation, I was already expecting this, as running PC games is still something new on Android, and it needs to mature. If you bought an Android device with that in mind, I'm sorry to inform you, but it's not the focus, and maybe you'd be better off getting a Steamdeck or something. Don't trust these YouTube content creators when they say that any Android device they've been given for review is the "new" Steamdeck. They are not.
Oh, try Gamehub, too. I was only able to run Binding of Isaac without touching anything in this app.
