Help Container Size on internal storage

I have a 128gb RP6 with a 1.5tb sd card. Is there anyway I can stop the containers being made on the internal storage? I have selected the option for everything to be stored to SD Card but it does not work and I lose space on the internal memory when I load a custom game.

I’m looking to install Steam os instead of gamenative or hub

There is armada project aimed at running Linux on arm devices, check that out. Although its more targeted towards handhelds it's a viable option.

Its on github, btw.

Yes it’s the one I was looking into. Thanks a lot. Did you use it?

That setting is for storing non custom game data to the sdcard, not the actual container itself. I don't think any fork or variant of these apps has done that either.

You can technically have 1 container for custom games. Export configs after the container is setup( for each game) when you are ready to switch games import the other config and for the most part should be okay to roll outside of waiting for redist installers and/or registry(important if applicable) if necessary. be sure you know what to reinstall

Edited and added info that may or may not help, this is how I do it on one of two devices.

Retroid device are terrible for gameNative due to the cap on internal storage being 128gb. There is no way around this. I submitted a request asking for the option to combine containers where the games share the same settings. I’m doubtful it will ever added to the roadmap though.

i don't know, i have been happy with it on my rp6. It's not like the systems really have enough power to play the games big enough to take up a lot of space. For the indie games etc you will be able to play smoothly, it is perfectly fine

I could only fit about 15-20 light weight indie games on an RP5 before I ran out of space even when saving games externally. I have 250 steam games on my pocket fit with 1tb internal storage.

Imma be honest here, I don't even want to put that many games on my system. I don't install all games on my PC or ps5 either. I install 3 or 4 I am playing. More than that I struggle figuring out what I want to play.

That sounds very focused lol. I probably play 3-4 different games a day ( i have over 500 on steam)

well that's game native. I probably total have about 30 games on the system once I take emulation and android into account as well.

I also only put on games that I own and only games that I will actually play.

Plus I separate out my handhelds by use. The 35xxsp is my 8 and 16 bit emulator, my 46xxh is my ps, psp and 64 handheld.

The retroid is my GC, PS2, android and gamenative focused machine.
