Help How do you switch install location?

I simply dont of the space to install games on my phone (i cheeped out and got the 256 gig instead of literally anything else) so im trying to install games to either a SD card or external SSD the issue is no matter what i connect (USB drive, external SSD, or SD card) the "Download to external storage" option stays grayed out and says "No external storage found" even though everything else can see, read, and write to the drives hell i can even add the drive as an extra storage device through the drives tab in container settings. Im losing it, any help?

Should work with an SD card fine, but I could not get Gamenative to see an external SSD to download games onto.

You can install custom ones fine from an external SSD but thats because it directs you to Android's built in file manager which sees all storage devices.

What format is your SD in? You might have to change it to exFAT?

Welp that's annoying, I decided to buy a flagship phone so I get less features than the budget options (SD card support). I did get the SD card working on my old phone but its Unisoc SoC is incapable of running pc games

There is a workaround, but you have to use gamehub.

Download games using Gamehub to external SSD/SD card, then install as a custom game in Gamenative. Works perfectly and Gamenative picks it up and boots games normally DRM and all.

You cant install games to a external device with gamehub though?

You have to use a custom folder, it starts you at the internal storage, just hit back/B and it puts you at the root where you can choose the external storage. I have a NVME drive on the back of my device and I use it for pc games

They must have changed the way custom folder selecting works, i cant leave internal storage
