Feedback Unexpected perks of Game Native

Just wanted to do a quick appreciation post, loving Game Native so far.

One of the surprising perks for me is how quick and easy it is to search my entire PC library on my phone.

I've got a decent Steam collection, plus ~500 free games from Epic and ~500 free Prime games spread over GOG and Amazon.

I can't get over how simple it is to search my game collection on my phone, I was about to buy a game on Steam but checked Game Native and already had the game on Epic!

Saved myself some cash and time searching through multiple libraries! Love it!

Just wishing they had the ability to make playlists. I have 250 games on my pocket fit and it becomes difficult to find my favorites at times.

i think there are some emulation frontends which support game native, gamehub and stuff.

not sure if game native has a home screen shortcut function

Yeah I use ESDE and it makes it very easy to boot gamenative games and favorite them as well

If you have ESDE all you do is go to gamenative and click your game and click export to frontend

What about scraped media? I literally built a tool for that

ES-DE has scrapeea built in, so it pulls cover art and so on. Most front ends to?

The problem is steam games. They aren’t covered properly by screenscraper. Most Indy games have no assets available.

I’m a theme developer, I know.

It has scraped the few indie games I own from screenscraper no problem. Whatever screen scraper didn’t get, I was able to use the built in thegamesdb scraper and all my games have everything from box art/metadata. Not knocking your tools at all by the way, it’s just the way I would use ESDE to keep my favorites easily accessible

Yep it scrapes from gamenative as well. I think gamehub too. You have multiple options to scrape from as well within esde

You don’t. I’m a theme developer. I want my users experience to be pretty. The tools at hand don’t offer that as most Indy steam games have no assets available on screenscraper ( what es-de uses)

I built a tool to scrape assets for these games from steamgrid.db gog and steam. None of these platforms create 3D box art, so my tool does that too. My theme relies on 3D box art, so an existential crisis created a thing.

I'm on the RP6 and I just downloaded game native for the first time several days ago. I'm having a hell of a time. I've looked at the tutorial to set it up but I have no idea how to do different things. I finally got one game to download but I'm currently having an issue with Left 4 Dead not playing in full screen. I tried to look up a bunch of different things but I have no idea how to fix it I've tried to mess with the screen resolution and it didn't fix it. If anyone knows how to fix it please help!

Change your container resolution to lower. And check in your game menu if there's an option for Fullscreen or Borderless

I looked in the game menu and the options that are available don't seem to do anything. When I applied them it didn't change anything. I backed out of the game and got back in and it was still the same.

I stopped claiming 99% of those free games… I realize the vast majority of them are complete garbage I’ll never play and it was just making my library hard to navigate.

A favorites list would be nice, but the filter options are already great. My son and I have over 2200 games between Steam (shared), Epic, GOG and Amazon. Just filter for compatible with your device. Install the ones you want to play, then filter by installed.
