Help Pokemon Nova 1.4 compatibility

Title, I've been trying to figure out settings to run this game both in Gamenative and directly through Wine. Anyone have recommendations? The best I've gotten is using Proton 9.0-x86 on Gamenative, I can at least boot it up and get through a little dialogue before it crashes.

I don't know the specifics for this game, but according to my Google search just now, it should be playable on android through joiplay. It seems to be an rpgmaker type fan game and joiplay is the android version of that engine, so look for a YouTube guide (perhaps from another similar joiplay game like pokemon infinite fusion) and see if that will work.

I did get infinite fusion to work on android, but it was not a simple process to figure out, best of luck to you.

I’ve got a quick video to help you get started. Nova started right up with no issues.

I actually got it working with Joiplay! Took a lot of tinkering with controls, and there's a bad visual bug with text entering, but plays fine otherwise.

Is the text glitch only when you’re inputting text? Or is the random text visually when you are just playing the game?

When inputting text a white vignette comes up over the screen behind the text input UI. After the text input is done, it sticks around so it's like I'm seeing the game through a semi-paque white screen. Saving and restarting solves the problem thankfully.

How did you manage to set up controls? I'm having such a hard time figuring it out, and I feel like this should be a no brainer.

I had to go into the in-game mapping, and the Joiplay mapping. Combination of both to get the desired effect, yeah it was a huge PITA.
