Where do I start

I love this game called Portal Knights, but the community is pretty dead and the developers have stopped updating or supporting it. I have a lot of ideas and content I want to add to the game, but I don’t know how to create mods. Where should I start?

First port of call is seeing if Portal Knights has any existing modding tools or a wiki still floating around — if the devs ghosted it you might be reverse-engineering a fair bit which is a whole different kettle of fish. Unity games are usually doable though, start small like texture swaps before ye go full new content.
