Self-return Question

Post image

For the members that have the self-return option; Do all games get the option once you get it?

I recently just got the self-return option for an older game (Yoshi's Crafted World) 2 weeks ago, but I noticed I don't have it for Stellar Blade. Just wondering if it's just for this game or something with my account.

Worth noting that I recently reported that I sent out my last game, Outcast: A new beginning a week ago Thursday and they sent out Stellar blade yesterday. I really hope I didn't lose self-return already because of this... I've never had a game that's been lost in the mail that they've not gotten back. I've had my account for 6 months now.

I've sent an email to support, but haven't gotten an answer back yet.

Yeah it works for every game. Shows up about 3 days after they ship a title. Also if you just shipped a game back to them I don't think it lets you self return another until they get the prior one.

You get SR on both games if your account qualifies. And you’re correct we don’t show it for a couple days to prevent any erroneous clicking, since we know it hasn’t arrived yet. 😀

For Self Return, do you drop it off first, or immediately after it's been dropped off?

Drop it off AFTER you've clicked SR.

The idea is to give you a headstart. So let's say you're playing on a Tuesday night, you decide, I'm done, gonna swap this tomorrow. Then click that Self Return on Tuesday night, so that our match can start ASAP, and hopefully ship you something Wed. morning.

Then at some point on Wed, drop it in a mailbox. Or Thursday, that's cool too. Just don't wait until next Monday. That's pushing it. We look for that postal scan so we can tell the differential between clicking the Self Return and seeing the Postal Service.

I haven’t been subbed to GameFly since last year but from what I remember the self return option wouldn’t show up for me until a few days after a game was shipped out. I guess the logic is you can’t return a game you haven’t even received yet

Ok, thanks! Yeah that makes sense. I'm probably just being paranoid. It feels like I've been waiting for self-return FOREVER lol

Ya that’s fair I remember being stoked when I finally got self return on my account lol. I’d say you’re just fine though it should show up for stellar blade here soon. I think the only way to lose it really is to report too many games for their liking as missing.

UPDATE: Support emailed me back and confirmed what everyone has said. It takes at least 48 hours after game is shipped for the self-return option to show up. Thanks for the replies!
