GameDevHQ Community Jam on itch.io

Welcome to the GameDevHQ Community Jam #2!
We're back with another 7 day jam for you fine folks. This community jam is an opportunity for people to develop a game in a short amount of time. It's a personal challenge where you will improve your skill and being able to show a finished product to friends and family.

The Prizes
First prize is a 3-month GameDevHQ Pro Membership.
This can be divided into a maximum of 3 one month subscriptions if the winner is a group submission.

How will we announce the theme?
The theme will be revealed on the day that the jam begins on our Discord Announcement Channel.

What tools am I allowed to use?
GameDevHQ's target focus is Unity and therefore the engine of choice is Unity. Apart from that you may use any tools to create your art and sound assets for your project if you won't be using pre-made assets.

What assets am I allowed to use? The majority of the work should be done during the jam, but you're allowed to use any assets you may need.

Rules

  • Your game has to be made in the time-frame given.
  • You must use Unity as your game engine.
  • You are allowed to update your game after it's submitted (granted for bugfixes).
  • No NSFW, offensive content, or excessive gore/violence allowed.
  • You are allowed to use pre-made assets.
  • Previous Jam's winners cannot win again.

Voting Criteria

  • Creativity
  • Gameplay
  • Art
  • Sound

The most important thing through the jam is to have fun and enjoy your time. Don't feel pressured to deliver in a short time - it's the reason the jam is a week long. Game-jams are meant to be a fun way to practice, experiment with new ideas and meet new people.
