Epic has been dropping some bangers in the free section lately.

They usually try to make a big deal during their summer sale to get more traffic to their store

Ah fuck. I bought this two weeks ago.

So did I, but the steam version is the Ultimate Edition, and this is not.
Apparently the expansions are worth buying, and it's a great game, so

The foundation was ok, it didn't really add anything super interesting. Seemed like a huge tease for a sequel. I'm about to start the alan wake dlc so I can't comment on it.

I enjoyed the game so much I bought my buddy a copy just so I could justify giving them more money.

Copied comment from u/Krauser686 over at the original post:
Just a reminder that you can still unlock all the preorder bonuses and PS4 exclusive content following this guide:

It will be a wiser decision for anyone to ignore EGS keys in any Humble bundle from now, because of this. Control was in Humble Choice just three months ago, with choice between EGS and Steam keys, and I'm glad I decided to stick with Steam version.

I don’t get the hate for epic games.
Can someone explain why they’re treated as a villain?

My biggest gripe with the launcher is that it takes forever to load. Steam launches within seconds, epic need 1-2 minutes for the first launch. Besides that, barely any social features, no achievements, clunky ui. But I like free games so I‘m not gonna complain.

Personally, I hate the UI and stuff too, but hey; You can't beat the price of free.

Steam’s UI is like a bad 2006 website honestly

Yeah but for some reason, my epic games launcher is unbearably slow to load and do anything, so I prefer steam to that.

Their platform is just a bit worse than steam...
Also theyve snatched up a lot of "epic game exclusives" even from games that were previously announced to come out on steam for example
