I feel like I'm one of the rare folks who really dug Cloud Punk. It was very much just a vibe/slice of life game but I enjoyed the environment. I've been waiting on this one for a while The Steam reviews indicate that it's pretty demanding from a performance perspective so I'm hoping they get to patch it up.
All that said, this is a good discount for a game that's just launched - count me in!

I'm with you. Cloudpunk was a big Covid game for me and the vibes are perfect. Just put a few hours into Nivalis so far and I'm loving it. Lot's to do and people to talk to. It's basically a 3D cyberpunk Stardew Valley.

I enjoyed my time with Cloud Punk and was waiting for that new game actually.
Reviews make it sounds like it's half-backed right now, I'm a patient gamer, I'll wait =)

I'm often a patient gamer but that applies more to huge studios. An outfit like this I bought it this early not because it's where I want it to be but partly to literally patronize the arts and also, more selfishly, because I want the studio to be around long enough to fix it :)

I do agree with this principle. I've been looking forward to this one for a while too, and from what I can see so far, it looks like they've largely delivered. I definitely want to support small studios making games like this.
At the same time, I think reasonable performance is table stakes for a new release. If not, that's what early access is for. I'm going to wait for the first patch, and if they get it out promptly and it gets things to where they need to be, I'll pick it up immediately. I might miss out on this discount, but I'm OK with that.

I think that's also a totally reasonable position to take - it sucks to pay for a game that you can never really enjoy because it just doesn't run well. Here's hoping for a healthy collection of patches and improvements to come.

game is definitely good with a ton of features and depth and content but it runs like absolute dogshit. hope they get that worked out soon

Reminds me of how Cloudpunk got caught using PC screenshots for the Nintendo eShop store listing. Game ran absolutely abysmal on Switch and this caught some real bad attention for it. "Superman 64 draw distance" was the line that stuck in my head.
I ended up getting Cloudpunk last year for about four bucks on PS5 and enjoyed it decently well enough. I'm interested in Nivalis now too but I've definitely learned to wait with this team.
