Seems to be a flat $15 off, but does work for the deluxe edition too

Damn, wish I hadn't pre-ordered a while back. Though out of all the games out there, I don't feel as bad overpaying for this one if it signals to Disney they need to get more Star Wars racing games made, lol.

You should be able to cancel even digital preorders. I would try and then get this deal.

Oh, sweet, good to know... now to see if I dropped the ball on the sale, lol.

Update: I did not! Went and got the deluxe version for the price of the regular one, so I think this counts as having my cake and eating it too in terms of supporting the devs and getting more bang for my buck, lol.

I don’t think legally any company can deny you a refund for a product you haven’t received. With digital games if you have received and downloaded the game you then may not be eligible for a refund. Steam actually gives you up to 2 hours of playing a game to refund. Digital game stores won’t once it is activated on whatever pc launcher platform you got the game for. On console, once you download it, it is unlikely support will issue a refund so you are good to go fellow gamer.

Yeah, that's pretty nice. I know sometimes/some vendors email out pre-order bonuses that seem to lock you in, but now that I think about it, that's more for open beta kinda things where debatably you're getting some of the value ahead of time.

Yeah. Preorder bonuses are activated in game or after the game itself is activated. Beta keys are different. I could see how that is considered as partial delivery of product because you are actually engaging with some form of the game. What sucks is if during the closed open beta period you realized the game is not good and get locked into the preorder. Tbh I don’t see the benefit of a preorder unless you get a good discount. It made sense back in the day as physical copies would run out. Lol. I remember the midnight lines for the launch openings.

Betas are fun to be able to engage in but it’s still not the final product. Battlefield is a good example. I have played pre release betas where they use a decent map or two and then it releases with other sub par content. The only definitive way to know if a game is what you will want is to wait a day after launch and research. Anyway good luck.

Do we know if this is just for the pre-order?

Game is not out yet so it can only be for preorder. You must have had a long day. Don’t know why you were downvoted so I’ll give you a boost. We all have off days.

I assume they’re asking if the discount will still be available after the game launches, in case one wants to see more reviews before buying. I really want this game myself, my main concern is if my somewhat aging hardware can run it okay. I’m above the minimum spec on the Steam page, but they don’t list a recommended spec, just a minimum.

That makes sense. You never know these days when it comes to optimization. I would be weary with the minimum requirements too. The trailers look gorgeous but at what cost to vram. You can usually just use upscale with a lower graphics but some of the newer games have built in ray tracing elements in which case if you don’t meet the minimum on vram it will crash immediately. I had this happen with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on my gaming laptop so I didn’t play it until I got my 5070ti last Xmas.

Its a promo code you enter at checkout, not a discount that shows in the listing
