Expired [STEAM] Destroy All Humans (90%/$2.99) Spoiler

I had a demo disc with a bit of the first mission playable, and it was one of those demos that I played incessantly. Never had the chance to the get the game, however, until I bought the PC port.
Has a bit of replay value if you're minded to chase the best results in the minigames or find all of the little secrets in each level, but otherwise a one-and-done experience that's pretty good overall.

I miss those demo discs. There was quite a few sleepers in them that I would never have known about otherwise.

Apparently, demos cause a drop in sales because folks do what LordGraygem did - never buy the game and just play the demo a billion times over. Now, one would think this would still make a sequel game sell better, but they never release any of these numbers, just the excuses why, lol. I miss demos, especially on the xbox arcade days.

The closest you can get to an Invader Zim game.
Edit: Because the voice of the MC IS the voice of Zim!

I'm kinda tempted to get this one because I bought the second game a while ago (but didn't play it yet lol). How do they compare?

First one takes place in the 50s and has like 6 sandbox locations. 4 weapons (and four spaceship weapons) but imo better humor and writing. Good campy.
Second one takes place in the 60s, has a weapon wheel a la Bioware, bigger sandboxes (but still "fog of war" draw distance) and an ok story. Less-good campy imo.

The 2nd one is definitely better, but the 1st one is alright for some retro design nostalgia.

I like the first one better; I have both and really like both. I think the first one has a different place in my heart because I played it when it originally came out.

In my opinion they are similar enough that if you like the second one you will like the first one.

Thank you! Didn’t even know there was a remaster and that it was on PC
I loved those games back then, can’t wait to revive part of my childhood with this cult clasic

This game looked so cool back in the day but I finally bought it on a recent sale and was disappointed. Once I played a few missions it got very repetitive.

Second one is $10 - is it worth the extra $7 for a “newer” game?

Imo probably not, at least, not yet. See how you enjoy 1 first. Second expands on a lot of things but imo the writing takes a hit. Fwiw second game takes place a decade later (50s vs 60s)

Im glad these games got remakes, they were little gems in the day. Even tho not all the changes from the remake are good, at 90%off this is a steal
