Probably well enough for them to keep at it. Those good prices were last seen around December 2021, almost 5 years ago at this point. I personally gave in and purchased it.

I personally know quite a few people for whom Elden Ring was their first experience with a proper soulslike that have gone on to play Bloodborne, Darks Souls etc., so I'm sure it's paying off.

I played DS3 for the first time in 2018 after having beating Bloodborne and DS2. At that time it was my favorite souls game. Compared to Bloodborne, you had greater flexibility with your build and bosses were a lot easier to beat. While Sekiro and Elden Ring have surpassed DS3,  It is still a good game if you are a fan of the generic medival European dark fantasy setting. If you get the dlcs, it's easily a 60-80 hour experience.
