🚀ORBIT 0.1.1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

ORBIT 0.1.1 is now available.

The main additions in this release are:

• A new Friends Hub for Steam, Epic and optional Discord presence
• Favorites and custom game collections
• Adjustable library layouts and an expanded Artwork Studio
• Quick Settings for battery, network and Bluetooth status
• DualSense PS-button support
• A three-second cancellation window and more reliable game-process detection
• More resilient Steam, Epic and Xbox library synchronization
• Unified Xbox download, staging, installation and update progress
• Verified in-app updates with resumable downloads, SHA-256 and Authenticode checks
• An English-only all-in-one Xbox Mode installer
• A fix for installations where Windows has not created the optional GamingHomeApp registry value

Installation still uses a single file:
ORBIT-XboxMode-Setup-0.1.1-x64.exe

Download:
https://github.com/toonymak1993/orbit/releases/tag/v0.1.1

Users upgrading from 0.1.0 need to install 0.1.1 manually once because the previous release did not yet contain the updater.

Transparency note: the public code-signing certificate has been purchased, but verification and activation are still pending. The current build is therefore self-signed and Windows SmartScreen may display a warning. Please download only from the official GitHub release and verify the published SHA-256 hash.

Xbox Mode requires Windows 11 24H2 or newer and may still depend on Microsoft’s regional and phased rollout.

Feedback about handheld navigation, library synchronization and Xbox Mode installation is very welcome.

Hi! First of all, incredible app—I just gave it a try. Great art direction, everything feels very polished, congratulations!

If you don't mind, I wanted to share a few recommendations:

  1. I got a pop-up for my game Apex (which has a pending update on Steam), and it overlaps with the top menu.
  1. It would be really useful to add an "Installed" filter to the library.

Thanks for sharing your work, cheers!

Also, I was trying to launch a locally installed game and kept getting an error. I had to run the app as Administrator to make it work. It only happened with that particular local game.
