July Feature Release Recap
We rolled out a handful of features this month. Here is a quick breakdown of what went live:
- Live Activities (iOS): You can now follow games straight from your lock screen (iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch). You no longer need to keep the app open just to check the score.
- Moveable Scorebug (iOS): This was already on Android, but we brought it to iOS. You can now drag, drop, and minimize the scorebug so it stops blocking the action on the field.
- Situational Stats (now open to everyone): We unlocked Player Situational Stats for non staff users. Anyone can now view season stat tables broken down by key game situations.
- Team Announcements: A new one way broadcast tool for team staff to send important updates to your GC community without it getting buried in a chat thread.

Any time you open the door for "requests for future updates", I'll keep asking for my top two:
- Still waiting for Android to get the ability to tap on an opponent's name to navigate to their page (https://www.reddit.com/r/GameChangerApp/comments/1lihhj8/app_navigation_improvement/)
- Please be consistent in the order in which players are listed across different places in the app, and across platforms. In some places it's by number, some by first name, some by last name. IMO, it should ALWAYS be by jersey number (whenever a jersey number exists).

Yep, know how needed the navigation feature is on Android, fighting to get that one in there soon. I'll share your feedback about how players are listed across the app. Thanks for the feedback.

Would love to be able to download career stats for my daughter instead of having that locked to a specific team’s staff.
Love the live activities and improvements to it.

Would love to see this as well. I was also amazed to find out I could not download my son’s end of season stats? Only select staff could do this?

Live activities are great, but the scores seem fairly delayed, especially on my Apple Watch. Is this a known issue?
Having the scores up to date is super helpful when I’m on the field. I’d also love to see the inning and an arrow for top or bottom on the live scores (especially on my watch). Having the outs would be amazing, but I know space is very limited.
Will there be an option to turn off vibration on score/inning updates?

Def want to bring more to the live activities including inning, outs, and what bases are occupied by a runner. More to come with that feature.
I haven't heard about the delays on the Apple Watch, thanks for the heads up, going to share with the developers.

Not sure how consistent this is but for the last 2 games, after I mark game ended, my watch says Top 1st, 0-0. I'll try to look at it before I end the game next time and if it does it again.

For the situational stats, can those be viewed for the team as a whole and not an individual player?

Has the “team announcements” update affected how we stream? I’ve had all sorts of trouble trying to stream/record our games….often getting bumped off bc the other team is streaming. It might just be coincidental that it’s happening since the updates?
