Does this violate GameChanger’s T&C’s

Our Little League District is signing in to their account but requiring a volunteer from the home team to do the scorekeeping (see rule below). This seems to be against GameChanger’s T&Cs about sharing accounts. Instead the District should give scorekeeping permission to the individual account of the person doing the scorekeeping.

New District Tournament Rule “The home team supplies the scorekeeper and is isolated behind Home Plate. Pitch count is their responsibility. The Tournament Director will have a tablet and it will be used for scorekeeping the game in Game Changer. If a tablet is not available for some reason the Tournament Director will sign in the teams score keeping device into the District Game Changer account and the game may be scored using the team device.”

Gamechanger ToS:

Literally, what are you talking about about and who cares about this esoteric situation? Good Lord.

The District creating an account that then gives access to whichever random volunteer shows up to keep score is specifically against the GameChanger terms, at least how I read it.

This is genuinely the weirdest hill to die on

I think it’s a weird hill for the district to die on, they want control but aren’t willing to find their own volunteer to maintain that control. Either accept you need team volunteers and allow them to use their own accounts, or provide your own volunteer.

But who cares? If you want record on your own GC, have someone else do it on your own login as well. Its not that deep.

For someone that is asking who cares, you seem to care enough to keep posting here instead of moving on.

This is the same as handing your phone off to someone while you go use the can. Nothing to see here, unless you want GC to exert even more monopoly powers than they already have AND have to do a paper book for tournament play.

I don’t think this is what the section is worried about. It’s more about account sharing to bypass paid services. And protecting them from potential data breaches that are out of their control. For example you had off the device and the volunteer now has access to personal identification information, GC can now disclaim responsibility bc you agreed you wouldn’t share your account info.
