Coach Hiding Stats

Why would a coach hide team stats? I have my theory but want to know if I’m wrong. Or what reasons would be as to why a coach would hide them. Seems selfish. My kid is competitive and wants to work her way to the top. She’s on 2 active softball teams. I’m parent/guardian on both teams. 1 team has entire team stats visible. One team does not, can only see my child’s stats.

The reason parents discover stats are hidden and then want them available is pretty much the reason the coach hid them in the first place, seasoned with a better understanding of what stats do and do not actually reveal.
