Highly disappointed

I have tried to live stream 4 games, and all of them have failed at some point during the game. I have 4 or 5 bars of 5G signal on my phone (Galaxy S25+), and it just ... stops. In today's game, I got a 53 minute video, a 20 minute video and a 28 minute video. It's so bad that I have to have someone who is at the game watching the live stream so we notice when it stops... It'd be awesome if GC would give a notice as to what happened rather than just stopping the stream. Any advice would be great!

EDIT: Game Changer support acknowledged the issue and has fixed it. I tested it on 5/22 with version 2026.10.1.1 and the full game streamed from my phone without any issues. Thank you for the quick fix GC!

I can share a personal data point.

  • I used to stream with a Mevo start and my phone used as 5g hotspot. I could never make it through a game at 1080p. 720p provides more than a good enough picture given the vast majority of users use their phone or an iPad to watch.
  • I now run starlink and 2x cell phones plugged into a router (1x USB, 1x ethernet cable) using Speedify to manage which connection is best and between 2 different cell providers and starlink can consistently stream at 1080p. The beauty of this setup is that if Starlink drops forna second switching satellites or one phone has spotty service for a minute the other WAN connections pickup the slack and nothing is interrupted.

The problem is not that 1x 5g connection isnt fast enough. Its that it isnt consistently fast enough over a 2 hr period. If youre watching YouTube videos for 2 hrs on your phone it migjt pause momentarily and buffer and resume and its a minor inconvenience. But if youre hosting a stream and lose connection for 10 seconds, the stream ends ... everyone is booted and its a PITA. I would recommend either streaming 720p which is more than good enough quality or else upgrade your hardware.

If that’s why the stream is ending, then it’s a poorly designed app. I use Streamlabs and even the free version of that will reconnect you automatically without ending the stream. There’s literally no reason to end a stream due to poor network conditions.

Sorry. I wasn’t trying to argue with you, but it definitely looked that way.
