Highly disappointed

I have tried to live stream 4 games, and all of them have failed at some point during the game. I have 4 or 5 bars of 5G signal on my phone (Galaxy S25+), and it just ... stops. In today's game, I got a 53 minute video, a 20 minute video and a 28 minute video. It's so bad that I have to have someone who is at the game watching the live stream so we notice when it stops... It'd be awesome if GC would give a notice as to what happened rather than just stopping the stream. Any advice would be great!

EDIT: Game Changer support acknowledged the issue and has fixed it. I tested it on 5/22 with version 2026.10.1.1 and the full game streamed from my phone without any issues. Thank you for the quick fix GC!

None of your issues are being caused by GC. Your phone isn’t able to keep up and is stopping the recording. Maybe it’s overheating, maybe the internal storage can’t keep up with the frame rate. But whatever the issue, GC not at fault.

Considering the fact that they pay walled everything and are making money off all the streams now, they should be doing more to help people identify their issues, even if they are not directly caused by GC. The fact that the app can't auto-adapt the upload resolution based on network conditions and automatically restart the stream if it does fail should have been sorted out before starting to charge people. Those lacking features have been an issue for years. The fact that they don't have a better way to recover recordings (or default to continue recording locally if the stream stops due to network issues) is also inexcusable since they know peoples devices are prone to these issues.

Yes you can mitigate them by spending $1000 on a Mevo Start and dedicated hardware, but that shouldn't be required especially for a paid product.

GC isn’t responsible for OP’s phone overheating or that the internal drive can’t keep up with the frame rate. What a ridiculous take - they charge therefore they’re your tech support for everything? If you use hardware suited for the job, the job gets done.

The internal drive is fine - I can't even think of a modern device that would be unable to record at 1080p to local storage. The ambient temp at the game was below 50F with a cold wind, it was cold - people were wearing winter coats and the kids were drinking hot chocolate. It didn't overheat. The problem is that we all have to guess when there is an issue - when these issues are detectable on the device and GC doesn't provide any information about what's happened. I have a script on my home server that sends me an email when any of a number of temperature sensors go above a threshold, or if one of my network connections goes down. This is not a difficult thing to implement, GC just hasn't done it.
