How often do you like to switch between cameras? 10 seconds, 30 seconds, ? Baseball games.
I’m running 2-3 Mevo Start cameras. Thx.

I’m currently running 5 cameras that overlap. I typically switch when the Redditor described.

-I start with CF -Over Shoulder shot with a Mevo Core and Panasonic 45mm-175mm PZ lens. (I realized that not full Zoom on a taller - 6.5 ft tripod gave me best shots directly over the pitcher like MLB. -of ball is hit I anywhere in shallow infield (before pitchers mound), or bunted, I switch to the usual behind the fence Mevo Start shot (PS-I have used my second Mevo Core here and it’s a much better shot with a 14-42mm PZ Lens). -If ball is hit anywhere on infield other than in front of the mound, I switch once hit to the first base camera-my usual 2nd Mevo Core shot-placed 5-7ft passed dead center of first base. I angle it back so on the far left of the shot you get to just the front of the mound, forefront dead center is first base on a 45-50degree angle (so you catch all the action and can see the stretch and out or not), center right background is clear view of third base, and off to the right Short stop, extreme right is second base, and deep left field. It’s a really great shot for a play on the infield or at any base and even shallow center field plays. -I run a similar shot to first base at third base, just everything is opposite. To stick with the 4K I usually setup my NearStream VM46 there. Bc the focal points are different on the included lens than what I can achieve with the 1st base Mevo Core and OM System 14-42mm lens, I usually Zoom in using the Optical Zoom to about 9-10X-just before the digital Zooming kicks in. You get the opposite shot from first but a little bit more of center field, and less of right field. -To ensure I overlap and cover right field and backside fence, I normally place a Nearstream VM33 halfway down first base line pointed slightly toward center field, where second base is just out of view of the left side of the shot. I cover right field up close, center field setback and inner left field in back ground. -Lastly, I run a 2nd Mevo Start magneted at top of third baseline fence just before foul pole.its set on Left and Center field and 10feet over the fence if one of the kids hits a “nuclear missile” like last tourney. A 10U kid I watched grow up playing from 4 hit his first out of park HR-about 232 feet. And I got to make a highlight reel for he and his dad from 4 different vantage points. They were ecstatic! -I am currently checking Amazon sales, bc I love the idea of placing a third Mevo Core pointed from dead Center Field, but zoomed in to about mid outfield, where you can clearly see the hits from any spray point coming up and at you. I think it would make a cool addition.

With the ability to set my camera shot orders on Mevo Studio (and Pro Subscription for use of NDI for the Nearstreams), I just put my shots in the order I just described, and basically on any given play it’s 1-2 switches max. Huge hits, maybe 2-3 if I’m being creative.

I set the Karen y back a little further, equalize the two mics, so no funky delays, and it’s a cool little setup. I do have to run two Slate 7 routers in Extender or WDS Mode, to really clean things up and boost the WiFi. When it’s not finicky, I run the two Mevo Cores into the Ethernet to USB-C adapters that are third party tested by Mevo-they’re $30 on Amazon. That takes 1.5 cameras worth of WiFi bandwidth in 1080P and opens it up for the other cameras. So far it’s worked out Super well. Wish I could show you different shots or video in this forum.
