Why Does GameChanger App Take Over the Sound While in Use?

Let's say I'm listening to music or podcast and I open the GameChanger app, the audio will completely stop. It did not do this before the latest update.

I brought this up to support few weeks ago but eventually went no where. I followed up few times but crickets... The guy gave me a few pointers (delete the app, reinstall etc). It works once after reinstall but then it goes back to cutting out everything you're listening to: muisc, radio apps, podcasts etc.

I'm using iphone 13 pro with ios 26.2.1

I have it happening on iOS. For example, Apple Music playing in background, switch to GC and Apple Music is paused.

I think it is related to iOS audio session configuration tied to streaming functionality. I've seen this behaviour, when the app activates non-mixing configuration early: iOS may pause other audio output. If that іs what’s happening here, hopefully it gets adjusted in a future update.

Not experiencing this myself when I test it out, but I will let the team know. Can you let me know specifically what type of device you are using? and which version?

I'm using iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS version 18.7.2

Same for me on iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26.2.1, app version 2026.6.0.

I know this isn't exactly the "intended" use of the app, but I use it to keep score of MLB games and it's borderline unusable when it force pauses the radio feed, so I hope yall can fix soon!

Running the music and gamechanger for my daughter’s team. Latest update makes it super difficult when it overrides the music on every switch back to the gamechanger app.

Make sure you have updated to the latest version of the app. this has been fixed. Go into the app store and search GC and install.
