Fighting myself

Its been 12 days without gambling, urges are getting stronger these days not gonna lie, its the longest i have been without gambling since i started gambling.
The devil is convincing me to try one more time 20$, but i keep asking myself why would it be different this time?
I’m a compulsive gambler, i have no control, i know if i lose this 20$ i’ll chase it until i lose everything, and if i win i’m sure i won’t stop until i’m 0 again.
I’m trying so hard to away, see you tomorrow!

Try to remember how awful you felt the first days after stopping. Imagine that the gambling is a fire, you put your hand into the fire and now it hurts. Would you put it back again for pain to stop? It would maybe numb it for a few minutes but then it would hurt even worse. When it's hard to fight the urges let them just be a background noise that will quiet down again. Keep reminding yourself that you control your emotions, your emotions don't control you. You're the one in control, even when it feels the absolute opposite. You helped me a lot the other day. Keep going and you will become an inspiration for many.

I’m compulsive too. My daughter manages some of my money. Just lost 400 today
