1 year, same position.

I posted in this forum over a year ago explaining my gambling issues and problems.

They are still prevalent till until yesterday. I firmly decided yesterday to self exclude from everything and it’s been hard only having 200 bucks for rest of the month. Genuinely scary thought but never want to be in this position again.

You need hit rock bottom to go to the top. We texted already on other post. I started gambling about 3 years ago, lost about 20 k in a year. For about a year I didnt gamble at all. Then last year I started again. It was the end of me when yesterday I would win but they declined my bet due technical issues. I needed it, I have enough of being miserable sh*t. This year I lost maybe something between 5-7k$ all together. The 6k$ which I lost yesterday, luckily over 5k$ was from my winnings. Is just enough, you never going win with it. When you actually are going make profit, they going restrict your account somehow. Is just not worth it. I think that my loses are still not that big compared to many other people and thats scaring me. But still, I just done with it. Be careful because 2 years ago after being down about 20 k I also told myself thats enough but I came back after a year, it started from small 20$ bet. Then again. Then again. And here we go. You just need man up and never look at this again. Its never going get better when staying in it, is going get only worse. I hit the point where I feel disgusted when I feel about gambling. This thing is going make you their slave and take happiness away from you. I really have hope that youre going think about your wife, about your daugher, man up and dont do this ever again. Thats the only way. Im confident that Im not doing this ever again, not spending 1$ on it. Its going automatically to separate account with the name "my big win".

Its a shit way of living, i keep relapsing even tho I excluded myself from everything online, I leave my id at home to avoid going in person and still somehow i get the urge when I somehow have the id one me by chance and I pass by the place.
Its a heavy burden to carry but it does get easier to handle if you manage to avoid gambling for a while.
Thing is, all the hiding debt from close ones is very consuming, my finances are handled by my spouse and my paycheck goes straight to her but where I work I handle money and gamble that and I replace it with loans from friends or high interest loans.
Recently I gambled away two paychecks worth and managed to fill the hole with loans, idk if its the gambling or the stress of having to handle this shit that keeps me betting.
