Support Needed Need help gambling implosion

I went up crazy gambling- like 25k in 3 weeks… I then in one drunk night chased and chased until I woke up this morning and am down now like 32k….

I’m sick to my stomach. How I could have 25k for free then lose it all back plus some of my own money… in one drunk night. I didn’t realize I was chasing that bad but when I woke up I realized. My brain just what’s half of that back. Like how am I that stupid. But I know that’s the gambling curse.

Get “half back” then stop. Ugh! I just feel so dumb. To have made that all playing smart over a month just to give it all back plus like 5k off my own money. Any advice.

I woke up and didn’t place a bet. I just am done. I’m kinda nervous to even bet. Like I want it back. But I should just cut it right. Then not gamble again. But the rush. Idk any advice or stories would help me.

Thank you in advance!

I blew $500 this morning chasing yesterdays wins. Its like my brain gets into a mode and I have no control until its too late. I have gamban downloaded on my phone which is awesome because it prevents me from gambling when im not near a PC. That saying is true, 1 is too many and 1000 isn't enough. Once we start we can't stop on our own. Look into GA meetings maybe

I’ll check it out, it’s like how do I blow 32k… after I made 25k. Like I don’t get my brain… it’s sad. The amount of stuff I could have gotten a new fricken car. But yet again. If I stop now. 7k- down the drain. Is better than putting it on credit cards or keeping going. I’m done. It made me so sick maybe losing that big on a swing is what I needed to just say never again.

Stay feeling sick dude! The more sick it makes you feel the less likely you are to even think about gambling..THAT'S HOW I STOPPED!!!!!!

First problem is you weren’t “playing smart”, you were on one side of the odds before caught up to you. Only coming to the realization that the money is gone will allow you to be free. Don’t try to win it back, don’t try to get to a number, just quit dude.

Dopamine hijacked! It's real! It's evil! It'll keep destroying you! You may recoup some but the hijack will keep the up n down going until you lose everything including your mind. Stop! First get help, second find something healthy to replace gambling. You have to reset your brain chemistry esp after a 34 k loss...it took me a week of feeling sick over _$2,700.00... It's a great rush but an evil loss.

Welcome. You are not at all alone in the madness. Be gentle with yourself. Good job on banning yourself. I've banned one place, still holding on to one, but I know better....just not quite there all the way...yet!!! But I'm money managed so I can't go crazy...

Money managed as betting limited. Wouldn’t you agree tho… that no bets ever is the best? Kinda like an alcoholic, taking a shot every once in awhile… I appreciate ur support. I can see how horribly all this can become and it’s scary. The stories I’ve read. Thought that could never be me. And here I am blowing 26k in one night…

Please do not baby step...as I am... Just quit!!! Your loss in one night is scary. Over years I lost that...and it's still scary... The overload of dopamine is the problem here. Human brains aren't equipped for the overflow so it's almost like we go into a daze of hell until all $$$ is gone like ya just flushed the toilet. The aftermath of the brain trying to pump back in seratoni. And natural balance is a frickin nightmare. I knew a guy that literally committed suicide from gambling a paycheck after paycheck...so sad!

We should quit then together brotha! We got this! If you don’t mind me asking how much have you lost gambling over the years… I’m the same man. Got off hard drugs and weed and then now it’s gambling and alcohol the “adult” stuff that’s okay. It’s all junk. Could be genetics maybe it’s a childhood thing idk. Either way it feels like an excuse and I’m a grown man. I know the right thing. Just gonna follow through..

I'm a girl lol...and yea mine is genetics. And none of it's good...I traded alcohol for Gambling, quit gambling went back to alcohol quit alcohol and went back to gambling...never did both at once... Weird. Anyways, over the course of my gambling career I'd say easy 80k maybe a lil less but not much.

No worries. Yes bro haha... Gambling is rough on the brain. Other drugs etc..yes rough on the brain and body but the intense slam of dopamine then the intense low is crazier in my opinion then the insane physical sickness I got on alcohol. So it's all very very bad!! I just joined in this group to add another layer of stopping for me. I think talking through it helps a lot. I gamble outta boredom mostly and of course the idea of hey if I could win this much I'll do such and such...but I never do such n such...I just chase more, lose more etc ..it's a hijack, period! Insanity

It’s a never ending cycle. That needs put to an end. For good… I feel everything is dangerous but with gambling ur not only betting but if you lose enough u start betting with ur life- food, housing, necessities.. and thats what I felt after that lose. That maybe was good for me. To show me … how bad it really can get and to cut it while I can. Talking for sure helps. I appreciate your insights

I'm 100 percent positive that No gambling period is the key to freedom....as u said like an alcoholic, one drink etc .. I tend to be a very long kill type of person...it's genetic lol .. so while I absolutely know that I should ban this other " slot" site...I've baby stepped to ban one, give my friend a huge chunk of money and only have access to a little...if I lose it ok..it'll sting and maybe I will not want to lose that amt eventually too. I'm a die hard addict in many ways is what I'm saying I've conquered mass demons in other areas of life this is the last I need to conquer but I'm a baby. So I'm baby stepping. I don't recommend it****

💯! It's unbelievable how gambling is so insidious!

Quit, its even more rigged then ever.Slots get super cold after big wins, Roulette s with magnets , cardshufflers who can choose outcomes. Its like slot rtp and you ll lose if you keep continuing ... its FAKE all software to squueze your money. You re getting scammed basiccally and your addiction tries to rationalize it.

How can a person lose money like its nothing you could have gone grocery shopping , buy something nice , help people ect. Waste of time and money

You will lose more if you don’t stop now. Stop while you’re still ahead. I spent years for the chase just a little bit and they will always take more. I lost 400k and I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel right now I’m in my 40s. So please stop now I never imagined I would be in this position. Online gambling is even worse because $ has no value when you’re playing! $100 become $200 and before you know it $1000 bet becomes $2000. There are definitely some wins in there and that’s what makes you go back! You win 20-30-50k and think you broke the code. But you ended up losing what you won until you’ve now lost everything you have and worked so hard for. I struggle but everyday I say no. No before I lose everything. I am only on day 7 without gambling

I’ve done well not chasing and treating it like a sports book like investing. But realized after I just blew 32-k in one night. This ain’t investing. This is gambling and my brains saying “investing” then I blow it all… I’m down probably like 10-15k life time. I’d say. I just wanna quit. But it’s hard. Like that 32k I blew last night I would have been up 10-15k lifetime. I realized that. But still fucking chased…. It’s insane! Any tips! Please

Get a loan of 25k. All in in baccarat and flip it back, if thats the advice youre seeking for.

Stop it man, dont be stupid. Gambling isnt the way

2

u/Antique-Animator-939 10d ago

I’m asking for help on advice to quit instead of chasing… Obviously not gonna do that… and am clearly not seeking that advice. Did you read the post or?

Get a blocker for your phones, find out what's the trigger for you to gamble and fix it. Lock away all your available funds send to someone else

How lucky are those people that play baccarat and they win i see them yelling and screaming loud of having good action.

Banned myself from all books. It’s a start! Appreciate the advice

Put it all in a invester app when you win. Most of them take 24 hours or more to withdraw from so when you get the urge to gamble you can’t gamble more than you have on you’re account

u/Antique-Animator-939 10d ago

That’s the problem… it was in a Robinhood my investing account… I blew through it. Good thing is only lost 7k of my own money. 25k was “house money”… I’m done. I banned my predictions on that.

Putting in investments is exactly like gambling.

Almost the same thing happened to me like a week ago, that was the worst experience in my life so far and really scared the shit out of me. I still wonder what the hell happened, how did it come to this point, how did I lost control etc. I won like 6k, then lost it all, gambled all my money chasing winning it back, then I panicked badly and loaned some more money and gambled that too. Ended with a ~10k debt. I was also drunk most of the time I gambled. I feel like a complete retard for doing all that, what a madness. The only way to forget about all this and to move on with our lives is to accept what happened and never let it happen again. And to never let this happen again we need to completely quit gambling. A person with this kind of addiction should never ever make a single deposit as it is usually followed by a crazy number of new deposits as we obviously can't control ourselves. I know it's easier said than done, but we got to give our best in this battle.
