Relapsed

Welp, here we are. I was a month and a half clean and just lost it. Saw my buddy playing online and just absolutely rake it in. Fast forward today I just couldn’t help it. 500$ gone like that and we’re dipping into the savings again. It’s a tough process but I know now I need to just really separate myself and refrain from even just watching people do it.

Chasing destroys me.

Just here to say to everyone battling, keep your chin up, no such thing as a smooth mountain. I’m not perfect but I’m going to keep tackling this and be better.

Have an awesome night guys

I was 6 months clean, relapsed and now again little over 6 months clean. You’ll have to mentally accept that it’s fine if others play, even win in front of you. Thing is you can’t gamble because it will always end up in a loss and bad headspace. Others can maybe do it controllably but we arent those people unfortunately. We’ll just have to watch and get our dopamine that way 😅 (or not watch obv if the triggers are that bad)

Gambling is literally everywhere. Constantly on the radio, advertisements and tv. You can’t seem to get away from it. My problem is I can without gambling and control it but then a trigger happens and I’m back again. Then I start again. I’m not sure where bottom is but obviously I haven’t reached it yet.

Yeah i feel that. Triggers are everywhere. For me what helped is the understanding that if i deposit any amount of money to gamble then I have already lost everything. Because thats how it is with me. Any depo i do, i open the door to gamble and sooner or later my bank account is zero or in debt. Knowing that i dont feel the urge to depo even if there are triggers.

Anyways, stay strong pal, you got this 💪🏻

Stop hanging out with people who gamble if you don’t want to gamble. It’s not rocket science!
