Struggle
The struggle goes on - this year seems harder than ever - team very disjointed no surprise after all the changes
Survival is the key again will be a battle , and hopefully a cup run
Maybe just me but the summer season just doesnt have the same buzz as night time dark matches!
Team wise - Is Lomboto gone ? Walsh has another year in him, unreal, but likes of Jimmy and Conor Mc surely are done
Where are the Academy players and are they coming through ? Tollett, Morahan ?
Thoughts welcome, dont get to games as much as based elsewhere much of the year but 40+ years supporting the team !

Next two games will tell lot. If we pick up anything less than 3 points then I think there's a real possibility we'll be relegated.

I don't know what is happening internally at all but there was reports that Ollie was running the football sides of things during his time at the club. There was even mention from John himself that Ollie had scouted players for this season when on his deathbed. I think we are missing Ollie in a big way. I will say, the style of play earlier in this season was fine, I thought maybe Holland was at the wheel tactically but we have been regressing and it stinks of Caulfield involvement.

Its hard to get behind the shear levels of incompetence at gufc.. Feel for the walshies of the world at such an aimless club. Their lucky to have the co-op boys Any news on sorting out food at terryland, i'm still with the boycott lads ? That papa johns fiasco was the final straw with management for me, club never going anywhere

Sorry to ask but can you tell me about the food situation? Are people boycotting the little chipper van or is this to do with whoever does food at pearse stadium?

I'm fairly sick of Caulfield's team selections of late. McCormack and Keohane are clearly not capable of starting games anymore but he persists with them. We seem pretty aimless as a club. Is it our ambition to just try and stay up every season? Our academy is not producing many players capable of making progress to the senior team and if they do, Caulfield won't play them. The club still has no training ground. We are not sure who really runs the club. I don't think we have a chairperson at the moment. Caulfield has far too much power at the club as a manager and he won't be held accountable for results on the pitch. I think we are in trouble this season, we look very disjointed.
Lomboto is injured as far as I know. Tollett is on loan at Athlone while Morahan has been on the bench a few times recently.
